After weeks of debating on what to get, I found a steal on a new Kimber Ultra Carry II at Guns and Leather last night. It was too good to pass up so I had to jump on it. No pics yet, it's just a standard 3" black Kimber http://www.kimberamerica.com/pistols/ultracarry/ultracarry.php

Put about 50 rds through it last night, taking advantage of the free range pass w/ purchase. most of it was WWB and was flawless. I loaded 5 of the Gold Dots I got for carry ammo and #2 failed to chamber. I pushed it back in the mag, and the rest were flawless. Now to endure the 500 rd break in .

Congrats!!! I just got the same gun except in SS...I have only got to run about 50 rds thru it and only had 3 FTF's. But if you go to my ammo post, the ammo might be the problem and not the gun....anyways congrats keep us informed!!!!

I hope you're break in period goes shorter than mine. Mine seemed to choke on lots or practice ammo until about 1500 rounds through. I have not had one problem(ftf,fte, etc) since then. I was starting to wonder if I had made the wrong choice, when all of the sudden, one day, it functioned flawlessly and has ever since.

BTW mine is a Custom II, Gov't model
