If you plan to work in Nashville you need to really look at the Interstate traffic options you will be faced with compared to where you live. All of them suck for the most part around typical rush hour. For example there is no way I would live in Sumner County and work in Nashville. It's always a parking lot (I-65 South in the morning, I-65 North in the evening). You can say the same thing for I-24 coming from Rutherford County.

Just other thing to put on your pros and cons list.

And from Montgomery Country!

Driving in from Williamson isn't bad usually. Every now and then a wreck slows things up but it seems we get fewer wrecks than they do going east on 40 or 24.

It takes about 6 months before you get to learn the secret handshake down here though...

Wow, I really appreciate all the responses to my question. My wife is a Quality Engineer in manufacturing and may be transferred to her employers facility in Williamson County. If she isn't, we still intend to move in the next 18 months. It sounds like parts of Williamson, Rutherford or Cheatham counties will be the most suitable areas to look. Thanks for helping us narrow it down,.
