I was watching "Tactical Arms" on the Sportsman Channel last night, and i've seen the gun before during the intro to this show and it got me curious....What kind of gun is this? Its the first gun you see in this video....

It's unlikely MK had ever seen the MP-43 before he started designing his AK-47 and the MP-44 wasn't in the field yet. There are some superficial similarities but the AK's internals have more in common with the M-1 Garand and JMB's Remington Model 8 than any StG.
