It will be a good drive from Alcoa but if you want to check out the Norris range it's only $40 for the entire year from july to july. Can be a little crowded on the weekends but it's a nice place to shoot. PM me if you have any questions.

Looking for a place to shoot with the wife and kid to advance their weapons experience. Tired of paying $20 each for range visits.

In Alcoa, but will drive..

Thanks!

I'm almost in the same boat. I live about halfway between Knoxville and Tri Cities. It's about an hour and a half to any range, indoor or out. Heck, the cost of using the range isn't the problem for me, it's the minimum three hours driving to and from the range. My wife and I we're talking earlier this morning about trying to go shoot but after checking the forecast, it looks like a gamble. I hate to drive that far and arrive in pouring rain or such a crowd that you can't get much range time in. A little closer would reduce the risk a bit.

I've asked around, looking for alternatives but haven't come up with anything. It'd be great to get a group together and lease some land just to shoot on. I'd be willing to spend a couple hundred a year to have somewhere nearby to shoot.

A local gun shop was going to put in an indoor range last year but from what I hear, the county put a stop to it somehow. Too many lib antis around here I guess.

a bit of a drive, but a GREAT place with compititions every weekend if you want.

$100 a year, open every day, all year, at any hour when the sun is up. Also has a nice rifle range.
