Was the hotel in a vacation zone?

Last time we stayed at the Jekyl Island holiday inn, the place was besieged by very friendly begging squirrels. We would routinely keep peanuts in the shell for snacks and the squirrels were really in favor of those handouts. They would commute to work. Walking a half-mile away from the hotel out in the woods toward the beach, I saw a couple of squirrels run by carrying peanuts-in-the-shell, presumably toting em back home from begging at the hotel.

This was the only begging squirrel we saw at the hotel here (Parris Island).
