Just curious if anyone else here went. My wife and I did. Our 3rd one. Went the first time because she wanted to, then found I liked it. Tonight's performance was pretty good I thought. Good strong vocals from the women, really good chorus backing them, and the musicans were superb. Also had a really good bagpiper with them tonight.

Wish I could have, always catch them on PBS and have bought the DVD's love them girls. Even with the changes in the line up they have kept who and what they are.

My Dad, who passed away on January 21st, was an avid Celtic Woman fan. He played their YouTube mix on his computer 24/7 as background music. He had tickets to their Huntsville concert on February 14th, I think.

I played CW's version of "Amazing Grace" at his funeral, and hired a bagpiper to play at the cemetery.

Big Poppa, sorry about your dad. Anyone who likes Celtic/Gaelic music is OK in my book.

I have never been a big fan of Celtic Woman because of their theatrics, but I love the Celtic style of music. I would love to see Gaelic Storm sometime if they ever come to Nashville.

I didn't make this one, I did go a few years ago though.

I had a friend that couldn't make it so he gave me his tickets. Initially I felt a little out of place, since my wife and I were probably about twenty years younger then anyone else in the place. But it was an awesome show!

It's disappointing that more people from my generation don't enjoy quality music like that.

BigPoppa, my heartfelt condolences for your loss. God bless you and your family. It's been almost 21 years since I lost mine and I still miss him.

My Dad, as an ex 101st Airborne, would have liked the choice you made. I chose the Royal Scots Dragoons version of Amazing Grace for our opening of the service. As the opening notes on the pipes played, you could almost hear hearts beating thru the silence that followed. Although a beloved and well-known hymn, in a small community like this one, it sure garnered some surprised looks.

But the choice was appropriate for Dad, and I know he liked it. As I'm sure yours did as well.
