Ron Paul Gets 12 of 13 Delegates In Minnesota 2012 Presidential Race

Seems like these people that sing the mantra of "anybody but Obama" begin to back pedal when the choice becomes RP. Just dosent' sound like they are as committed to their philosopy as they would have you believe.

I wonder what evidence you are basing the above statement on - where have you read any posts in any of the many, many, many pro-RP threads where people have said they would not vot for RP should he get the R nomination? Maybe I misssed them but I don't recall seeing any that suggested that. Even if some "anybody but Obama" folks feel they can't vote for RP; I think it a big stretch and inappropriate to ascribe that feeling on a braod scale.

When I say "anybody but Obama" I MEAN It and I suspect that is true of the majority of people who espouse the "anybody but Obama" mantra.

I am not an RP supporter and have never been one...there are other candidates I wish would have run this time but the didn't. Of the ones who did run, each one I supported and wanted to see get the nomination have dropped out of the race. However, should RP actually get the nomination I will be VERY happy to cast my vote for him in November and I'm sure I'm far form alone in that regard - same goes for Romney.

I truly believe that if we don't stop Obama and his socialist agenda with this election, by the time 2016 rolls around, the election will be moot.

So to all the Ron Paul opposers.....

Please enlighten me on why you do not like him and Mitt Romney is better in your opinion.

I just want honest answers, no sugar coating please. :usa:

RP hasn't won any primaries. As best I can tell, no organization who makes predictions about the remaining primaries say he'll win any that are left. RP is pretty old to be running for president (in my opinion) - I like many (not all) of RPs positions (which I can say about anyone who has ever run for the office; at least in my lifetime).

My observations have nothing to do with liking or not liking RP or thinking that Romney is "better" - they are simply observation/opinion.

Perhaps you could explain why you seem to equate making such statements as "not liking' RP because I don't see the two as related at all?

The "issues" thing is done with, water under the bridge, both candidates have issues that we all don't agree with. The People saw what he stands for, they saw in the debates and back in 2008.

The time is now to get behind the most likely candidate that the majority of Americans have decided on.

Beating that dead horse once again, THE END GOAL IS TO REMOVE BARACK HUSSIEN OBAMA and the most likely candidate to do that is Romney whether RP supporters agree with it or not.

I'm betting RP will lose to Romney in his home state but I suspect the bots will cry fowl, fraud, MSM basis or something to keep the masses from voting for RP.

You guys remind me of liberals, your way or no way. Stop and take the blinders off for Petes sakes, at least there are some issues that we can agree on. Put your efforts behind Rand and others like him and fill the House and Senate with these closet libertarians and maybe one day you'll have a better chance of selling your ideas.

Kieefer, you misunderstood me.

#1, we're all on the same side here. I want the radical Marxist, Obama, out as much as all of the rest of you.

Let it be known, I am not dumb enough to not vote at all or vote for Ron Paul if he quits the primary or doesn't win enough delegates.

I am not and never have been a liberal. I was a conservative Republican for all of my voting life until the last three plus years.

I am sick of getting the same results every election. Progressive republicans, big government republican spenders but don't tax enough to pay for it creating debt, and the RHINO's are what has turned me off. I have moved farther right to Libertarian in hopes that we can get some restoration to the Constitution and founding principles. Also to move away from socialistic government and try to get some fiscal responsibility in Washington.

To me right now, most of these republicans might as well be democrats. Half of them vote with the Dem's and once they win office, you can send letters until your fingers bleed trying to get them to vote right and you get nothing but the same old BS. They're just a little slower and slicker about what they do versus their democratic socialist and liberal democratic friends. But they're always a close step behind.

I have heard it said that Ron Paul is our last best chance for a constitutional executive branch. I believe that is true. That said Romney does have a better chance of beating Obama as things stand now. Still I wonder if 10 years from now we will say "We really should have listened to Ron Paul."

So, if RP runs as an independent do I vote for Romney, a vote against Obama, or do I vote my conscience and politics be damned? An interesting question.......

Most people are not in the know, i.e., they do not know how to identify socialism and communism and are ignorant of its evils. The media and academic elites has been working hard to distort our history and news to help push that ignorance along.

If it were Romney versus Paul for president...

Mitt Romney would go on TV and look like the best guy simply because he will look more centrist and be a good public speaker (and has more money to advertise), while Ron Paul wold be seen as less popular because he's too far right for the independents and center-right. That's how the mainstream media likes to paint it to guarantee they only get a short stall in their FORWARD PROGRESS to socialism. Paul would actually stall it and start reversing some of it if he won. They can't have that happen! Paul was the only real threat to the radical left wing.

I guess I'll just have to be happy Mitt Romney is not a Communist or Socialist bent on destroying our constitution and free market system, though. It just frustrated me that he won't do enough to stop this socialistic movement and start reversing it.

I didn't hear anyone around here saying they hated Ron Paul.

Most of us understand the primary process. If he wins that, he'll get a lot of

our votes.

I never said "hate" either. I said "oppose" in the context and Paul versus Romney on an issues argument. Sorry, I should have been more clear on that.

If Paul wins the primary he gets my vote. Obama wins.

If Paul gets on the ballot as an independent, Romney gets my vote. Obama wins.

High and mighty ideals have nothing to do with this election. That all went out the window when the Republicans put up their pathetic candidates at the first debate last year.

Obama must go and Romney is the only way for that to happen, as much as it sickens me to say.

If Paul wins, I don't think it would be an automatic win for Obama.

Doubt that, too. I for one would not throw away my vote like that. I think most are smart enough not to do that as well.

Obama has to go!

Voted for Ron Paul but with that said Romney will be receiving my vote come November. I hate to say it but I'm not too confident that Romney is capable of beating Obama in the General Election.

I am ready for whatever comes my way. I hate to say this, but maybe what this country needs is four more years of Obama's policies. I figure that most of the individual here can take care of themselves and their families is SHTF. Maybe all the people that are to ignorant to make educated decision need to see the true brunt of this far Left Wing agenda for whats it worth. I guarantee you, they will not like what they see.

With the core of the Liberal belief system based on Two Class Ideology and Eugenics, the people with the least amount of ability to give to the government (Individuals who receive welfare, EBT, Public Housing...) will be the first to be rounded up. Just look at the histories of China, Egypt, Nazi Germany, ... the list goes on. Only until then they will find out that they were use and bribed to get their vote.

Good points.

But on the issue of people need to see the radicals take over. NO WAY!

We might lose everything and for a long time of that happens. They want a collapse! They want to rewrite our constitution in to a socialistic charter and destroy the free market system even more than they already have. I don't want to live under that mess for any length of time!

That is why I will vote Romney if Paul is out; to help get the radical Marxist and all his criminal socialist and communist friends out!

And that was a good response, thanks. I have said I thought if RP had a good handler a long time ago, he might have

become prez a while back. His message, other than foreign policy, is a good one for me. A lot of his points need to be addressed.

It just didn't happen. his time didn't come, and it's too late. He needs to be included in the Republican platform committee, and

maybe a cabinet level position. that's no insult. His ideas are valuable, but the forces against him, including the Rockefeller GOP

part of the party, won't allow it.

Please get with the Tea Party. We need to win this bad. They are showing good results again.

I disagree a bit about the benefit of a good handler.

I realize that what I'm about to say is completely and totally illogical and subjective is purely emotion based and has no measurable substance...but...when I look at Ron Paul during any of his Presidential runs, I just don't "SEE" a President of the United States...he simly doesn't look like someone who would or should or could be President and as illogical and subjective as that is, I doubt I'm alone in that assessment. Perhaps a good handler could have changed that perception but I doubt it.

I would still vote for him and gladly so if he gets the nomination and I feeel that on many issues, especially this election cycle, that he had the better record and better position but unfortunatly; I think more people vote on prerceptiona and emotion than they do on issues.

No, you're not, Robert. I meant a solid campaign and a handler who would keep him on message and "clean up" his

image. Well, maybe that's not quite what I mean. Consistent message with a more "presidential image". Sometimes

the background people can do wonders with helping a good candidate become a better candidate to attract more

of the masses required to win an election.

JohnC, thanks for clearing that up. Glad you're on board.

There's a few out there that have a mind-block that it's RP or no one.

I agree with Robert, I don't see RP as presidential material, great statesman but cannot ever see the majority electing him as president.

Getting the majority vote in Minnesota is not a great endorsement. I mean, they elected Jesse The Body Ventura and Al Franken. Yes, Jesse is nearly a Libertarian but he is a 9/11 truther. And Franken is just nuts pure and simple.

But Franken had to steal the vote to get that

endorsement.

Frankenstein no more won that election... Than Putin won his... Fraud and ballot box stuffing don't count and happened in both elections.

As for Ventura what did he do that was so awful?

Romney wins Texas and Ron Paul loses his own district. Will he get the message?? I doubt it....

I doubt it too.

When I first heard on the news that Romney had won Texas and enough delegates to lock the Republican nomination I wondered how long it would take before one of the RP faithful starts another thread proclaiming that RP will still get the nomination based on a brokered convention and all the back door dealing of RP's people. :)

He's a truther... Which means he's a buffoon.

I

I actually liked Jesse Venture until he went off the deep end with the conspiracy garbage...he did seem, at least, to always say what he thought regardless of the consequences and it's difficult (for me at least) to not admire that. :)

Jess Ventura was a fine man, once, and had a spark. I wish he hadn't caught whatever disease he caught

because he is what this country is made of. He once moved mountains and lost his way. Someone send him

a set of Tony Robbins cassettes or something.

true, but I'd take a truther over a progressive any day of the week ;) Somebody who thinks the government is purposely trying to destroy vs somebody who thinks the government can solve everybody's problems? Both might be nuts, but the truther at least has the right idea about how to fix the problem ;)
