According to the Military Channel:

Ever wonder who makes the lower receivers for all of the AR15 manufacturers out there? Here's a list that lists many of the big name companies out there selling AR's.

So the name above each list forges the blanks for the others below?

No, the name above literally machines out the lower for the name below. The top name probably gets the blanks from elsewhere. The most that the name below does is maybe the finishing (anodizing), which may not even be done in house either.

There are only a few forges in the US making AR forgings. They are shipped to those above for the final machining. We are not talking about 80% lowers but a slug of aluminum with a very rough shape of an AR. The forgings generally do not have the magwell broached yet or the hole for the receiver extension cut.

It is not on the list but Saber Defense, before going out of business, was a maker as well. They made lowers for several companies.

And as you can see by the list above it makes no difference who makes the lowers in the world today. 20 years ago it mattered but with all the CNC equipment today all forged lowers are going to be identical for the most part. The only differences might be the finish detail.

Daniel defense?

Based off the number of other products that are made under the DD name, I believe they probably have the tooling to do their own lowers and probably get blanks sent straight to them.
