Went to the doctor today and they had to work on my index finger. Left it a little sore. He goes "You can shoot left handed right? Because you're trigger finger is gonna be sore for a day or two."

I like my doc :)

Someone take that "pull my finger" joke a little to far?:D

:P

hi,

i usually go to the V.A. clinic and when i do, i normally leave it locked in the trunk or glove box of my vehicle.

if you've ever been to the V.A. you know you don't need to stir anything up. it's hard enough to get an appointment.

with private practice i usually do the same ---but then i don't live in nashville or memphis either.

I had to go to the doctor yesterday do to a bad sore throat. Upon arriving I did a quick check of the door for a no gun post nothing there so I took my LCP out of the IWB holster and stuck it in my pocket, removed and stashed the holster, and went on in. After leaving I got to thinking what would I have done If I was carry my Glock in the Mtac. I know concealment would have been blown when doc goes to listen to chest. Would you remove your firearm for a doctor visit? If not do you make the doctor/nurse aware before they see it?

Also unavoidable exposure when asked to drop pants for shot in the butt. Ouchhhh it still hurts!

I do carry at the docs. I told nurse and doc I was carrying as soon as I went into exam room. They both carry.

my wife was discussing HCP with our doctor. My wife commented that she would be afraid that a bg would take a gun away from her. Our doctor replied that he worried about that as well - that is why he carries 2!

I am a doctor, I carry at the office all the time. Any of my patients are welcome to carry also. Have not had any problems.

Where you at?
