The beautiful thing about TGO is that people here are love guns.  Whether you reload, cast, compete or just love to plink you will find something here for you.  Yes there are A$$hats here, but generally they are just trying to be funny, not truly unkind.  I appreciate sarcasm and a smart aleck response.  I also appreciate that being a female here is seen as a good thing.  The other forums tend to assume that if you are female you know nothing about firearms.  I learn something new every time I logon.  Can't beat it!

 

I would say that despite being "outnumbered", the female members here can definitely hold their own.

I talked to a guy in NY on here the other day that has lived in NY all his life.  He likes the info and hospitality, as well.

This forum is populated by a bunch of great people the expertise a majority of the members have on here is second to none.  If you're an atheist, democrat, arab, or gay rights believing person, you might need a thick skin in some of the threads.  Don't get me wrong, this isn't a group of hate filled people, just ones who hold strongly to their beliefs; and rightfully so.

I have always found local forums to
be much more helpful. I'm only on some larger forums for entertainment purposes. I look forward to growing with the TGO community as I transition to TN.
