S&W .380 Bodyguard Issues

Recommended Posts

I picked up  this gun a year or so ago.  It has shot just fine and I have carried it both as a backup to my EDC as well as sometimes in certain situations when wearing certain clothing, its been my EDC.  Lately, it has developed magazine issues.  I carry it in a pocket holster.  Frequently the magazine will pop out on its own. At first I thought it was because of getting jostled in my pocket that the magazine release button was being inadvertently pushed in as its in a soft holster. Then I tried a new mag and the problem was solved...for a little bit, then started having the same problem with that one too.  Now its all my mags.  And the problem is worse too, now the mag will pop out at he slightest touch or jostle.  Its to the point that I cant trust it anymore, and am contemplating sending it back to S&W for repairs.  Any idea a( what causes this, and b) how it can be fixed, preferably without sending it back to the manufacturer?
