Turned out great. I like the look of the scope foreward on the old Mauser. Its the scout look. I have a bring back mostly matching gun that I love to shoot. I would never alter it in any way, but would love to give the scout treatment to a import. Time to dust off the C&R now.

I like light colored wood on some battle rifles. It looks really good on that Mauser.

CK I believe Guns and More on Papermill Drive has a few Mausers. Dunno for sure if they are Yugos or not but I believe they shoot 8mm, which they have rounds for too.

That's an 8mm Mauser. (7.92x57). This particular model was based on the 24/27 Belgian. By the looks of the stock, it appears to be mahogany, which would indicate it was intended by the Yugo's for Export (they built a boat load of them before realizing everyone was already buying semi-autos and there was no market). I believe the designation is M1947.
