As a competitive shooter who has spent a lot of time around dots, I've seen that batteries can and will die, usually at the lousiest times. But of more concern to me is taking a dot off and putting it back on. They use some itty bitty screws that sometimes don't like being taken out and put back in and taken out and put back in and taken out and put back in.

I get it however most dots can run for an inordinate amount of time on regular lithium batteries. Access to that battery, while maybe convenient wouldn’t be my first concern

I’ve got a pretty cool 10/22 up for sale that was my youngest boys rifle. He is wrong handed so I picked him up the left handed version. This custom stock was cut down and refinished for a 10.75 inch length of pull (standard is 13.) It also has the desirable all metal trigger group. Runs very reliable and shoots well especially for a kids plinker. $280 in South Nashville or North Franklin.
