Have been running b ills for the last several sessions of the General Assembly to try to add in the use of Deadly Force for property protection. The usual suspects all come clamoring to be opposed, the Department of Safety, the Sheriffs Association, the TBI and the DAs Conference. Two different takes by two different spokespersons from the DAs Conference, in the latest versions from 2022, and 2025. I wonder if it could be a trap in the answer to Make Memphis Matter Senator Brent Taylor this last year?
