I worked security when I got out of the army back in 1988 in Nashville and if you worked in a uniform, as a recognized security officer, you had to go through the training and get licensed by the TN Dept of Commerce. If these guys were working security, and RK says that they don't have to be licensed, he is full of merde. I believe a call to the TN Dept of Commerce should be in order. And as far as it being detrimental to RK Shows to file a complaint, they have gone downhill in the last couple of years as everyone knows. You can get better deals and cheaper prices on almost everything through the internet and boards such as TGO, so not a big loss.

The patio is still under the property owners discretion and if the signage is posted, I wouldn't try it. It could be considered the building if it is attached/touching the building such as an extension. I wouldn't arrest for it, but not saying other officers wouldn't.

Something else I just thought of is that the M1 carbine was issued alot to smaller statured individuals such as the South Vietnamese. I have a 10/22 that my kids use occasionally, but the buttstock was kinda long for my son when he was 12. He's 15 1/2 now so it isn't a problem now, but if you have younguns, these would be ideal for them. Plus that can be the hook you can use to get it past the missus if you have that problem.

The cost of .30 Carbine ammo compared to .22LR makes a huge difference. Almost like a .22LR conversion for a AR. And almost the same cost.

Since I don't remember seeing what it is, what are you shooting?

I am glad that the governor vetoed the law. I hope they don't override his veto. This is a crappy comprimise bill. It needs to be just like the law passed banning smoking in restaurants. The property owner should have no say so. The biggest fault in this law is that the BS "international symbol", i.e. ghostbusters/circle slash sign is total crap. The law needs to differentiate between a bar and a restaurant (51% of income is alcohol), and that there can be no restricting lawful HCP carriers from carrying in a restaurant. That is the law in Oklahoma where I am from and works great. Simple and straightforward. Why these tards here in TN cannot get it right I have no idea.

Nope. Read the article. They are destroying the out of spec ones. Would you want one that was defective? Not a very trustworthy piece of kit.

Would be nice if they had posted lot numbers/source code, etc, so we could check our own helmets.

Supreme Court nominee and the 2nd amendment

Except that she will be on the court a long time considering her age, so it has the ability to influence decisions for a long time. -
IF you can't get it to a shop soon, at least have it completely covered and soaking in mobil 1 5w-30 synthetic motor oil. Then take it to someone to dissassemble/clean if you don't know how like others have suggested.

I really hope you are not one of those idiots that think you can open carry without a permit......

Correct. M'boro is the dividing line. Was in a hurry when I typed it. Took the wife to dinner and a movie.....in Mt. Juliet where it is nice and quiet.

Considering that it is true I am not worried about it. Ask about the 2007-2008 time frame at the old Bob Pope shows at the Williamson County AG center and the chicken little sky is falling BS that they spewed to have people join their club. Then he turns around and sells the show to RK Shows.

Antioch area is Hermitage sector and we hear the crap going on in that area all the time on our police radios. Car jackings, drive bys, burglary, gang violence, you name it. Hispanioch.....

He was also behind the whole scam (along with some attorney) about how the .gov was going to end gun shows and that you needed to be a member of a collector group and that gun shows were now "meetings" in order to be legal, all for a low membership fee of like $60 IIRC.

They are no longer on their website. Hmmmm....

Considering dealer cost is almost $1200 I would say so. I have shot one considerably. Trigger sucks and it handles like a 2x4. Some jackholes will get on here and whine about how it isn't anything like I thought. To each their own.

I have a sub-compact in 9mm that is accurate as can be out to 25 yds (about a 2 inch circle) and fits nice in a Glock 26 kydex IWB I use when I like to be discrete. Nice gun, but I would not want it in .40. Too snappy a round for the size. YMMV.

Have you ever truly looked at the criminal justice system from a detailed perspective. I have for the last 13 years, both civilian and military law. It is common sense for the most part. You know if you are committing a crime. It's easy to know that you are, let alone a felony. Granted most people do NOT have common sense it seems. The acts needed to commit a felony are pretty easy to see. Most midemeanors are the same way. Blue collar or white collar shouldn't matter. Punishment should be the same. You usually do not lose rights on misdemeanors, except for domestics for the most part and some drug offenses and DUI. All of which you know you are committing. Being so open minded your brain falls out is ignorant.

Sorry but if you do something serious enough to be convicted of a felony, especially as an adult (not as a stupid juvie), you do not need to ever own guns. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Sometimes for a lifetime.

Grants? The government is giving vouchers for guns now? Woohoo! Sign me up. That's a stimulus plan I can agree with. Cash for Carbines.
