  1. theres the long branch campground...otherwise You have to ask the private landowners.
  2. I think I may have seen the robber....He had a shirt and a Glock...or was it a Blackberry...
  3. When I injured my back, the doctor gave me a tenz (sp?) unit. It kinda shocks your back, but feels good. I used it combined with ice packs every day. They offered me pain pills, but like you, I refrained. Maybe check into that. Good Luck!
  4. Have you gone on Caney Fork? I can't remember how long of a trip I took there, but it was cool.
  5. That looks cool. I can't believe it only took you an hour! It looks all pro!
  6. My mom has one of these. I think she was offered $175 for hers. They aren't worth a lot, but they are really cool.
  7. I tried to win some items recently on ebay and the same thing happened to me. I'm so disappointed I don't even want to bid anymore. I have better things to do than sit around and watch the clock run down. I feel your pain!
  8. If giving up my wallet would guarantee I'd be left alone, fine. However, too many times victims comply only to be shot, stabbed, etc... I ain't giving anything on the word of a crook...
  9. "Yep. You still have to pay tax on things you ship in from out of state. Nobody ever does though." I'll make sure I start doing that right away......
  10. I've heard there is a law in works to make out of state purchases taxable. Technically they already are, but no one ever hands over the tax. I think big brother is trying to find a way to enforce it....
  11. You are not alone. My wife, niece, and myself will be attending the Sunday matinee. Good wholesome family fun. Afterwards, we will probably go to the range for more fun...
  12. Asides from my jam-master-jennings, the highlight of my range test was the fella next to me. During one of my firings, a brass from my lane ejected down his collar. He jerked and sent a nice shot onto my target. 49 shots on a 48 shot target...a bit scary.
  13. A good friend of mine once told me, "a loaded gun never shot anyone, it's the unloaded ones that do". He is right, and I'm sure the same rule applies to fingers and triggers and such.... These mistakes make it hard on all of us....
  14. As long as you don't do what I did: take the test with a jam-master-jennings, you should be fine. After much embarrassment and several jams, I did pass the test.

Lasers make everything instantly cooler! The Bodyguard's laser is extremely awkward to use, but I think it is there as a selling point, not as a needed function. Everyone loves sparkly and flashy things, so why not throw a laser on there??
  16. You've got a great gun, I have one of those myself. I used the Uncle Mike holster, but I probably wouldn't recommend it for all day carry. The nylon was a little scratchy and didn't work that great for concealed carry.
  17. I almost forgot to introduce myself.... I go by "UncleJak" and was born in the greatest state: Tennessee. I enjoy shooting, camping, and anything that combines the two. I am the proud father of three Glocks: 23, 27, and my newest addition 35. Also in the family is my best friend, Mr. AK-47. It is my pleasure to be part of TGO. Thanks! -UncleJAk
  18. I travel about 40 miles one way every day to work. I have often had similar thoughts. Worst case: I get my bag and start walking. I have enough food, water, and ammo to make it providing there are no major roadblocks. Recently I have made friends with like minded ideas who live on my way home. I think if the time came, aligning with these people would give each of us a better chance of making it home, and a possible place for me to re-stock and rest before my final trek.(I live the furthest out) Walking isn't the most appealing idea, but I do not want to get stuck in the city any longer than necessary... The hardest part is "feeling people out" to see if they agree with me, or think I'm crazy...
