  1. I have been hunting about 4 days this Muzzle-loader season so far and havent shot anything yet . How about you guys ? Usually I see lots and lots of trucks with deer on in the bed comming back from a hunt. I have only saw about 3 deer in the back of some trucks . Gonna try it tomarrow again , hopefully the high wind we are having will calm down .
  2. Are you talking about the grumpy old man on the corner ?
  3. What apartment complex do you live at ? I know the Cobalt Drive apartments went downhill before the paint ever dried .
  4. I like 1911's and Glocks , but I have only shot Springfields and Colt's in the 1911 style. I dont know what kind of money that your Kimber is worth but what I have seen from Kimbers in the past you can probably sell your Kimber and get 2 good used 34's . I like 1911's but there is nothing else quite like a G34 .
  5. Thanks guys for the replies . I drilled a hole in the grip tool and it came out good . SO I am good to go . Also for those people that say they get caught in things , I use a SHORT lanyard not really long one that droops down a long way . I just dont want a branch or limb catching my pistol while zooming through the woods . I have a helmet on and there is engine noise and all so it is hard to hear what is going on and I can feel what is around my waist but at the same time I am riding while standing up and and shifting my weight for curves and all . SO you cant always tell when you have something grabbing at your waist . So I am good to go with my M&P40C . Thanks for the responses and information .
  6. I know that TWRA can walk right up to you and demand to see your hunting license when you are out hunting or fishing .
  7. Only the ones for fullsize pistols have lanyard loops . I am trying to get one for my M&P40C
  8. Bottom line is that people , not all but a lot , seem to be looking for drama to make a big deal about it .
  9. Let us pretend that your mother just got shot and killed by a guy with a gun who had just been stopped by the police and he told them "I dont have to talk to you because I dont have to" . How would you feel about that ? I bet , and I really bet that you would sue that same police dept . for not "doing something to prevent that " . Just my $.02
  10. I am just wanting a cord to secure mine in case it came out of the holster . A pack is a different scenario but thanks for the information .
  11. YEah , I would be concerned if it were mine , that is why I am posting this . And if it I felt it being dragged then I would know it fell out and I would know to go get it.
  12. I have an M&P40 and I am going to attempt a lanyard hole/attachment on my M&P40c . I do a lot of walking and riding through the woods on my dirt bike and ATV . I always use a lanyard like on my G30 and 34 . I dont want to lose them if they get snagged or such . My S&W M&P doesnt have a lanyard hole . The bigger M&P45's do have one made into the grip tool (you M&P guys know what I am talking about ) . I am going to drill a hole into my grip tool on my M&P40c so that it will accept a lanyard . Has anyone ever did this before on here or anyone you know of ? I am just wanting some input . Thanks in advance .
  13. For the love of God , when you get stopped by a police officer , a deputy , a state trooper ( we dont have "cops" in the area I live in in Tn ) , or any other type of Law Enforcement person , just use common sense and show them that you are who you say you are . Come on people , Police have a hard enough job as it is . This guy , like a lot , was there to stir up ***** . If I ever get stopped I just tell them like it is and who I am . People like this guy in the video are just buttholes looking for drama . I always cover my gun when in public , but if the wind gets up and blows my shirt open and a police officer sees it , and he asked me for a permit , then I will show him with no problem . I can not stand idiots like this guy looking for drama .
  14. That is a beautiful pistol . I have a G34 , I guess you would say Glock's version of yours , it is pictured in my avatar . I have had some XD's over the years but I could never grip them the correct way to engage the grip safety and it would not fire for me at all . I went through 4 different XD's trying this. If there is ever a way to disable the grip safety then I may get the pistol you have . I like the longer barreled pistols . Glad you like it and keep us informed on the progress .
  15. I just found out that the Newer Taurus polymer has an "ILS" key safety and also a magazine dissconnect safety. So that cancels it for me . I think I am gonna just stick to getting my Beretta Bobcat like I originally wanted .
  16. When it comes to Glocks , I believe they ARE nice looking and the one thing you cant deny is they are the best , I say the BEST in rust resistance . The G36's are nice guns . There have been a few here and there of the G36's having problems . I have not experienced any though . I carry the G30 and the G34.
  17. I normally buy and carry bigger and more quality style guns such as Glocks and CZ's but I just saw an article about a Taurus .22LR / .25acp . It seems kinda nice . I almost bought a Taurus PT22 back in 1995 but never did . Has anyone seen these ? The new ones are polymer framed pistols. They are still blow-back like the older ones were .Does anyone here have any information or experience on these ?
  18. Graycrait , do the Taurus pistols have extractors? I know the Berettas dont . Just wondering . I was planning on getting a Beretta Bobcat but I waited .
  19. Could I please hear your experiences with the Beretta Bobcat in .22LR ? I am thinking of picking one up tommarow. I have read about them and have thought about them for at least 2 yrs now . I hear they are picky on ammo . But you know how rumors and crap floats and spreads on the internet I am only getting this for a pistol to just have fun with , nothing serious . I just have always been interested in them. I already have a serious .22LR plinker a MKIII so this Beretta will be just strictly a fun gun . I am just looking for your positive and negative information on them from your personal experiences . Any information is much appreciated by me .
  20. I use a Don Hume "First Agent " leather holster model H710 . It is only $29 and RULES!!! And yes the Glock is safe . Just keep everything out of the trigger guard except fingers when you are ready to fire . It will be just fine . Here is a link to a pic of one carrying a 1911 . Google Images
  21. Is this Hot Springs place a place that allows 4-wheelers (ATV's) ? I normally go to LBL at Turkey Bay . Its great but would like to try something else out for a change .
  22. I would choose between the semi-auto Ruger MK pistols or the Ruger Single Six revolver . They are both Ruger tough and you have the choice of pistol or revolver . These 2 particuliar Ruger firearms are built to last a lifetime . You maight have to save a little more to get the Siingle Six , but it is well worth it .
  23. Well said .
  24. Any word on why the bulge on the trigger bar is there one the .45's and Gen 4's ?
  25. I LOVE Ruger SP101's , I mean I love them ! However , you cant beat the rust resistance of a Glock . Both have great reliability . I mean , the Ruger SP101 is the Glock 17 of revolvers .
