  1. I hope I'm not the only person on this board to witness this today. It was about 1:52 today in the ammo aisle at Gander Mountain in Knoxville. I was looking for the non existent 9mm ammo and 1 aisle over, I head a bang! I immediately ducked because I thought someone had a loaded gun. Turns out, a guy dropped a box of .22 and one blew up. He said he was hit in the head with a little shrapnel, but no blood. There were probably 20 people in the area and everyone immediately stopped and just stared blankly, including the employees. It kind of surprised me that the employees seemed to not react. After about 2 minutes, a few employees approached, but just didn't react like I would have expected, not that I would know what to expect. I guess I would expect a faster response and concern, but for the most part, if was just "you good, you good, ok then."    That was enough excitement for me, so I, with the rest of the gawkers meandered off. No wonder they don't allow loaded guns in, people can't even handle the ammo responsibly.
  2. Gander Mountain in Knoxville has a ridiculous amount of .45. Only the high dollar 9mm self defense though.
  3.  The state didn't give them tax incentives, these are built into the law and earned based on jobs and investment. The state did pay for a lot of other things though. They are now the gorilla in the room, and like it or not, they provide almost 4,000 direct and 5,000 indirect jobs now. They get attention.
  4. Amazon still owes the state one more distribution center. Looks like Lenoir City is leading the race for #5.
  5. Haslam won't step up at all, it isn't his nature. He is more feel good and go with the flow. That is why Obama will control Tennessee's healthcare and not Nashville. I really hoped and thought Haslam would be much different.
  6. There is a huge differences from making a slight increase to stay competitive and just plain gouging the customer. Eventually, a customer will get tired of being gouged and will shop elsewhere.
  7. I love steaks so it is always the Stockyard for me!
  8. It is amazing how much the guys in stores up the price on this stuff! 25 per quart? I think I will stick to Vodka for 100 per gallon. Especially when cost is around 7 or 8 per quart. I guess that is why the illegal stuff is still going strong. No one wants to pay the tax on in.
  9. I must have missed that one. It may have been sold cause I think I checked them all. I have found some really nice hex's online for 89.00 so I may go that route.
  10. Just left Farnsworth's in Vonore 149 for round receiver, 159 for hex. None of the guys ever remember having them for 89.00. I'm all for shopping local, but not for double the price of online sellers.
  11. Pretty sure he was on the team, just a walk on. Basically they practice with and just like everything else, just never see the field on game day usually.
