  1. I'm not sure about a semi-auto, but a friend of mine uses the hell out of it, in his .38 revolver. He has a fairly serious rat/mouse problem in his barn.
  2. And the next LEO is likely to give you different advice.
  3. Nice. Did you price it anywhere else? If so, how much did you save?
  4. I think it's safe to say that it will be between $450-$600.
  5. Not sure. I should have more info tomorrow morning, but won't be able to post until I get off work.
  6. Not sure if it means anything, but the pictured barrel says "Match".
  7. I've signed up with 3 email addresses, and not a single email.

  9. So who's gonna be the first local dealer to have the stainless slide version? No local dealers have heard anything? Or where they told to keep it hush hush? Can anyone tell if that stainless is a 4" or 5"?
  10. Hey now! The law says he can do it. Thus meaning it's perfectly acceptable. Just ask him.
  11. Where are you finding XD's for $299?
  12. I thought they did a Limited Edition, non-stainless, 686, in 1989?
  13. This is a quote. "According to my sales rep they should be in the dealer's hands (that attended this small showing) by next week. They could not give me a 100% on this because it seems like Springfield Armory is limiting the information they pipe down the line. I'll have a in depth talk with my sales rep about this. Don't hold me to this because it varies by region. I still need to wait until they can pack some NY compliant guns (10 round mags.)" As far as prices, not real sure. Their best guess was somewhere near "Glock" prices. I think I really like this Bi-Tone Model. I want one.
  14. Thank you, everyone, for all the support. Yes, I thought about the Gastric Bypass, and even went for a meeting at the hospital. My insurance wouldn't cover it, though. After looking into it, I know I can do this on my own. it will undoubtedly take much time and effort, but I can and will do it. I'm a single father of a beautiful 9 year old daughter, and she should be motivation enough.
  15. Here are some more pics of the new XD-M
  16. WOW! For some reason I thought someone told me they couldn't own guns in Canada. Now I know for sure.
  17. Where are the "after" pictures? Hope you're healing well.
  18. I didn't think they could own guns. Not one of these anyway.
  19. My mouth was watering when I saw the TAVOR on "Future Weapons".
  20. No, unfortunately, it wasn't a new firearm that I'd so love to have. It was a "start to a healthier me". A 1 1/2-2 mile walk is just what I needed. I'm 6'3", and well over 400lbs. Honestly, I've been scared to step on a scale (even if I could find one to weigh my fat a$$), so I could be much closer to 500 than I'd like to imagine. Bottom line--I'm fat, and it's well beyond time for me to do something about it. I'm gonna attepmt to do this at least 5 times a week, maybe more. Luckily, I have a friend who's also quite fat, and she's agreed to walk with me. This will really help with the motivation factor. Anyway, I'm on my way to a Brad Pitt physique.
  21. Come on! They're only here for the jobs us lazy Americans don't want. Access to free stuff is the least we can do. Heck, without them, how would anything get done around here?
