1. While I wouldn't be one to OC an AR, I can't help but be a little disturbed by situations where people are charged with a crime simply because someone felt uncomfortable. Strictly from a legal standpoint, other than a little common sense (we hope), what's preventing someone who's OCing a handgun from being charged for the same crime?
2. The lens caps being a pain to close is my only complaint. I'm going to take a dremel to the inside of the lens cover to see if I can take a very small amount of rubber off of the inside.
3.
Well, we should start with actual punishment. Since what we have is neither a deterrent or punishment for many criminals then the rest of the argument is mute.
Amen!
4. She didn't cry and whine about. She just admitted it stung a little. Most of those involved in a roast are hammered with some hard truths, and most of them have admitted that certain jokes sting a bit. This writer of this article is desperately trying to turn nothing into something.
5. Fail! :p
6. The roads in and around our subdivision are iced over. I took a ride, and I don't see them getting any better by time I have to leave for work at 4:30-5:00 am.
7. The rain has turned to snow in Springfield. The wind is kickin'.
8. You'd think she would have felt something wet when she made contact with the seat, but maybe not.
9. Glock is much like Apple. While a few naysayers will turn their nose to it, there are more than enough fanboys to make just about any creation worth their while.
10. That would be like taking one step forward and three steps back. I'm cool with it. I've had it sitting next to me all day, and haven't even looked at it. I got this.
11. I'm not sure about the muzzle device being directly over the magazine tube.
12. :repost: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/74312-remington-r-51/
13. Self-help. I'm doing it. I woke up this morning, and hardly thought about it.
14.
That is wear??? Don't ever come over to look at the ones in my safe cause you may have a seizure as soon as the door opens.
It's worse than wear. It's a scratch (albeit a fairly light scratch) in the finish. The wear hasn't begun. Like I said...baby steps.
15. Yeah, after reading the articles, there's no doubt in my mind that this guy is the real deal. I don't know if it will turn out to be as lucrative as the 15 million dollar contract, but from a PR standpoint, this was a very good move. People who otherwise wouldn't have spent money with this company will now be a little more willing to open their wallets. Hell, like many, I had never heard of this company before you posted this article.
16. As bad as Obama has been, I don't see a republican winning the presidency anytime soon. I think the country as a whole is drifting more and more to the liberal side (especially socially), and those who are more socially liberal view almost all republicans as ubber-conservative. Gay marriage and abortion are going to be the death of the republican party.
17. Here's more on the story.   http://freedomoutpost.com/2014/01/integrity-desert-tactical-arms-refuses-sale-pakistan-turns-millions/
18. A wonderful PR move.
19. Due to a silly OCD thing, I've always tried ridiculously hard to keep my carry guns looking brand new. I really went to extreme measures, with the exception of my LCP. While I couldn't bring myself to treat it like a red-headed stepchild (nothing against all you Gingers), I was able to bring myself to treat it like a blonde-haired, blue-eyed stepchild. Pampered, but not overly. Anyway, someone recently created a thread (maybe just mentioned in a thread), talking about how a carry weapon was a tool, not a safe queen. I attempted to subdue my OCD long enough to give this some thought. While it hasn't been easy, I have made some progress. With some trepidation, I recently began carrying my Smith & Wesson M&P 40 Pro Series on a regular basis. I was determined to treat it like a tool, attempting to be a little less cautious about bumping it into something, or otherwise marring the finish. Today, I was successful!!! It is officially scratched. I'll admit, I have since attempted to see if I could rub it out (come on...baby steps), but it is there to stay.
20. Obviously you've been watching too much news, too.
21. If I fail a drug test, I am fired immediately. There is no option for rehab.
22. Legalizing marijuana has nothing to do with drug testing. If your employer requires you to be drug tested, legalized marijuana is not an end-around this requirement.
23. Yes, they have a great selection of beers. I also prefer spices and seasonings over most other retailers.
24. I didn't realize the OP resides in Indiana. I assumed he was inquiring about the laws in Tennessee. I am not familiar enough with the laws in Indiana, so I am not sure if that is a requirement or not.
