The story was blatantly a statist, anti gun piece...The writer must have brain farted when he included that little tidbit...kinda made the whole pro 2A point 2 sentences. ... -

“This tells us that citizens and bystanders have a very real and active role in stopping these events,†Nichols said. “If we can properly prepare and educate civilians, maybe we can get to where 90 percent are stopped by civilians long before the police arrive.†Interesting..... -
You're welcome...sorry for the delay in my post...been a rough few days...

Yea...If you get it today you should be able to shoot by Sunday without a problem. ..
-
You might have time to get it installed and cured to shoot before the weekend is up...

I am hoping to hook up with someone myself....I have ALOT of wheel weights to start melting...

I haven't had issues trying to find ammo either till recently either and I think it has more to do with people buying for Christmas gifts than anything else. I have a certain level in my mind I want to be at and will buy until I reach that level. Then as I shoot I will only have to replace what I expended. I understand guys wanna go out and plink, and teaching kids and getting them used to guns is paramount. But, I also think it doesn't make sense to go out and shoot 400 - 500rds of ammo without some goal in mind. BIG waste of money IMHO. ..

I see what you are saying....and I don't snatch up ammo like a mad man but I do buy a couple of boxes every couple of weeks to stock up. I am of the mind that if people are going to have a gun then they should have a supply of ammo to suit their needs. If they don't have the common sense to buy some ammo and put it back, then honestly I don't feel sorry for them. That being said I have given some of my own ammo to people who are just starting to shoot so that they have something. I also tell them that they should do like me and buy a little here and there. If they don't and shoot what I give them and then can't find more then that is their problem. 22LR can be had locally at good prices, but it is a mix of looking around and luck. I think it is a little funny that people are crying about not finding 22LR and people gouging, but aren't saying anything about other calibers like it is okay for people to hoard them or go out and buy it all up and then sell at exorbitant prices...
-
FWIW...I have several thousand rounds that I have either bought or received from my dad when he died...and I still try to buy it so I have a good stock...just seems like the people who don't have want to hate on those that do and call them hoarders...again, just my .02

I am sure there are people that are buying to sell it....but I know several people who work overnight shifts at FedEx here in memphis that shoot that stop off on their way home to check stock...just seems a bit too tinfoil IMHO....
Guys help me out here. I went on armslist and only saw one person selling overpriced 22lr ammo. Then I went on gunbroker and none from TN. So, where is all the local WM ammo selling? I have an idea but don't want to say at this point.
Maybe people are buying it and putting it up?? I personally have bought several bricks over the last several months to put back...just because it is being bought out at the store doesn't mean there is something sinister in the works...

It's nice to be able to help people out now and again...especially when you can bring new people into the gun community and show them we aren't the crazy lunatics we are made out to be....

Unless I am mistaken it is the bracket of the drop in unit that has the serial number...you can replace the sear, spring and pin if they were to wear out or break...but if the bottom bracket broke you would be SOL. ... -
Says it is setup for RDIAS

the green circle of the big dot sits about the same height as the factory bead...you basically put that green dot where you want to put a hole in something...I like the big dots simply because they are easier for me to get on a target and focus since you are looking at a big white dot....I have become accustomed to using them over 3 dot sights...I have big dots on both of my glocks and am going to put them on my Sig M11A1....

I have met several people who are members at MSSA who speak very highly of the facility. After shooting at the local ranges and becoming disenchanted with getting guns pointed at me by Joe Schmoe, I am seriously considering a membership. The initial start up is a little steep, but the annual dues are not much more than you would spend going to the indoor ranges in this area. And you have the ability to shoot higher power firearms at this range....and I am itching to shoot an AK  -
