  1. How much does doing something like that typically run?
  2. I have a hat that's 7 3/4 and it's a bit of a tight fit, but fits. Very small difference between us, but for whatever reason they wouldn't work out for me.   I had a member contact me about buying them, so I sold them to him and shipped them off Saturday. Maybe they will work out better for him.
  3. I'll probably look into those Impact Pros. The cost is a bit more than the Peltor 6S series, but they look big, chunky, and that they should work for big noggins. Plus I like being able to connect my phone if I want to do some listening to stuff while shooting.
  4. What a beauty... dang I have got to get me a Garand sometime soon.
  5. I really didn't need to see that.....
  6. Howard Leight R-01526 Impact Sport are what I bought   These are the ones you're talking about. Only about 15 dollars more than what I paid. If only I had known....
  7. I got a big ol massive head. Any suggestions on some earmuffs that work?   I spent some money on some Howard Leight Impact Sports after reading a bunch of reviews and seeing how well they were rated. They've very nice, but will not seal around my ears no matter what way I adjust or try. This was even more evident when the guy next to me at the range was firing off and rattling the teeth out of my head.    The best way I can explain it is it seems that all the pressure is at the top part of the earmuff and that forces the bottom to jut out a little. It makes for a poor seal on the bottom and leaving an open area on both ears to let sound in. If I apply just a little bit of pressure it seals perfectly.   The only problem with that is it's a little hard to shoot with my hands holding the ear muffs down. :P I reckon I could just wrap tape around my head several times and keep them pinned down....    I typically just use earplugs, but I thought I'd try and get some better protection for an indoor range. It sucks that these are around $50 and unusable and unreturnable by me.
  8. I'm sorry there was just too much sense and intelligence in that video. Someone's head out there exploded trying to find a way to refute it all.
  9. Great guys, now everyone is going to be running to the store and buying it all up before the ban....
  10. Got mine from UPS yesterday and just finished cleaning it up and recording the info. It's a 1931 Izhevsk. Talk about gorgeous and in great shape. The wood looks amazing and the bluing is perfect. All the parts match except for the magazine floorplate.   Also the importer was this CAI company but the rifle is in outstanding condition. Then again, my other worn out Mosin is also from this CAI and most of the bluing is gone, wood looks terrible, etc. I guess they're fairly hit or miss?   Did I mention it's absolutely beautiful?
  11. The crap this guy has to put up with. I worry for him. He's getting more popular and there's got to be one hell of a bullseye on his back.
  12. Hadn't seen this one yet. It's insane how quick these videos get views. A little over week old and already 7.6M views.   Thanks for the reminder.  :D
  13. Looks like it's all gone now.   I hope whoever needed some got it.
  14. .223 is already sold. Not sure about the 100 rounds an order? Tin was for 500 rounds last I saw with a limit of 5 per order.
  15. Got home and checking my email I saw Cabela's has some Herter's ammo in stock. Did a glance in this forum thread and didn't see any mention of this. Hopefully not a double post.   500rd .223 for $169.99 Sold Out 640rd 7.62x39 for 189.99   Linky
  16.   I want to do some business with AIM, but every time I've gotten an email letting me know an item is in stock it's sold out by the time I wake up.   The price was more than I wanted to pay, but I've been having a hard time finding one. SOG has some round receiver ones for 119 or129. I figured I might as well thrown in the extra and get the hex from Classic.   I have a round receiver one already. It don't look like much... but it shoots accurately and I love it.
  17. As I'm sure several of you have, I got an email from Classic Firearms that they had some Mosins in stock. I also noticed it's a "steep" price.   Any opinions on the prices of mosins currently? I'm wanting to get another one but have been unable to find one locally or online. Think I can hold out for a better price or better go ahead and grab one? They say there are also pretty nice quality, which makes it more enticing. My current one is definitely an old beater.   Linky $149.99
  18. I assumed it was something like that, thanks for clearing it up.
  19. Sorry to butt in with a different question on the thread, but I see people talking about these older guns sometimes being force matched.    What does that mean? How would I know a gun has been?
  20. It sucks but at the same time I can appreciate it. I hope maybe I can get some things I'm looking for.
  21. I wondered if there was any use in trying it in a normal shop. I didn't figure so.    And yes, it was awesome getting my rifle I just bought sent to the house  :D   I'm still thinking about a Nagant revolver. I saw SOG has some in stock. Can anyone comment on how reasonable their shipping is? Apparently they just add it on after you've placed your order... I paid about 15 dollars to have my M38 sent to me from Classic Firearms, should I expect about the same price for a Nagant revolver from SOG?
