  1. Anyone heard of this New Gun Range in McMinnville?     http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_8_38/589905_HTF_Shoot___we_need_to_regroup.html   post 1:   ~Friend of mine just told me about a new range being built on hwy 8 east of McMinnville and its close to opening. We have the range in Viola but they frown on rapid fire and full auto. This one is supposedly going to be tactical oriented. I'm gonna get contact info and see if they'd be interested in hosting. Maybe we can get them involved here   post 2:   So the range east of McMinnville opens tomorrow! Info from newspaper ad. Mountain top range 11564 Harrison Ferry Red McMinnville Tn 37110 Email mountaintoprange@blomand.net No phone number given Grand opening tomorrow 9am-5pm Skeet-archery-pistol-rifle. I'm going try to go check it out.
  2. I meant no disrespect at all, and I would have laugh my azz of off with the just because we can comment... Trust me I have nothing but praise for LE, in fact I've shot FA with local LE's a couple times, its still funny that some officers believe that FA is illegal in civilian hands, one officer was going to call his Sargent to confirm but I showed him my get out of jail card and we laughed. The LA bank robbery is a perfect example of LE out gunned but I think it would be suicide to use a BF in that situation. Again I'm not picking on MG's at all they have a defenent purpose for LE. I wish you and FSD the best on your shoot, I wish you were closer and on a Saturday.
  3. After seeing this post from Fighting Sheep Dog http://www.tngunowne...-auto-for-free/ Made me think about the reason why a Police Dept would have a need for a Belt-Fed MG, PD's are pretty much under the microscope for a shootings how a days, hell during Ferguson the PD rolled up with a MRAP and had a sniper up top, the media and our beloved president cried overkill for the whole MRAP thing, could you just imagine if it was equipped with a Bravo 240, M60 or a Saw and someone decided to exchange fire with them and they just lit him up with a 50 to 100rd burst to end the treat, I'm pretty sure this would get a lot of attention. I get the project a unbeatable force thing but what in Tn would need this? I can understand state and local PD protecting the border's and having whatever it takes to end a threat from a drug smuggler or terrorist, I'll attach a photo of a customer we supply trailer parts to, this boat I believe cruises the Rio Grand River in Tx, I totally dig the single and duel mount bravos.
  4. By no means I'm an expert,my gun is 19yrs old, spent haft its life stock the rest as I posted above, stock form 2-300 yrd shots were the norm, tried long range 4-700yrds never was successful, the trigger and stock made a huge improvement, with practice I stopped a deer at 540yrds on the ground using a bipod. Oh and that's using match ammo. So for me it diffently made a difference.
  5. Isn't that a H&S stock you have already? or are you going to a tactical stock?
  6. Mine started out as the OP's but mine is a 700P, it's put a lot of deer's down on the first shot, so I never upgraded to #6, if I did it again I'd put a AI stock on it instead of a Bell & Carson
  7. That's #4 there are 7 more
  8. snapped this photo walking into the game, didn't work out to good for Mr Red
  9. Honey I also need: 1) rings+base 2) scope 3) trigger 4) tactical bolt knob 5) stock 6) a bigger mag 7) bipod 8) sling whew is that all!!!
  10. Third down for what
  11. A Barrett 82a1 would be great choice too.
  12. Just wait until you squib a round or get a out of battery. I stacked up like 15rds of 22cal before the ejector blew off.
  13. Money doesn't matter... Lol
  14. The coarse thread suppressor I had (Bowers) always came loose, I was surprised it never had a baffle Shrike. My buddy had a gemtec viper on his it couldn't come loose.. Edit: just to be fair I think Bowers started using a different back adapter recently..
  15.     http://www.colt.com/Catalog/Rifles/MARC901Series.aspx   I have a LE901 it has a different rail then the MARC, If anyone was going to SBR a rifle this should be it that rifle. This gun can go from battle rifle to semi precision rifle to assault rifle. And this is possible with a rdais   https://youtu.be/u53ptwTs7hY
  16. You realize you can have 1 gun and shoot 7.62/.308 and 5.56/.223 right? best of both worlds!!
  17. you can also get the upper with iron sites or a flat top your choice, I had a FT wit cmore red dot
  18. shooting 200yrds with a 50 is pointless, its just a noise maker, I use to shoot at Terrys he put all kinds of range restrictions back in June at 330yrds it was kind of okay but still pointless.   How big is the shotgun pit? I shoot FA and FA belt-fed   I do have Tannerite but I don't want to press my luck and ruin it for everyone else.
  19. Man I wish you guys were closer, sounds like it will be a blast, I'd be all over the 60
  20.   Really they let 50's there,? what kind of range restrictions do they have?
  21. I'm keeping my mouth shut...lol....lets back to guns fellas..
  22. Well crap and I spent the night at a holiday inn express :P I'm only defending my daughters college, she's a senior but my wife tells me she kan't  (can't) make her mine up, so she's going after her masters now, I guess, so I thought this would be my last season, how I got 2-4 more yrs
  23. But that was with Payton, dang I miss him, they need to recruit him, if not as a coach then as a cheerleader..
  24. I didn't start watching until the 3rd quarter so my hopes weren't that high, dam MTSU Imploded on Vandy too....
