  1. Would that work with a .458 Socom?
  2. Yeah I've seen one of those before, saw it on Survivalcache.com. I'll see if I can't find the link for it.
  3. Yes, the fee is the ammo tax. That is correct, 18 for rifle, 21 for pistol. Stupid law in my opinion but whatever.
  4. Was it the ammo tax, because there is a .10 cent charge per box of ammo.
  5. Mosin revolver. Great shooter and accurate, but the trigger is awful DA. Has a 20 lb pull... Also the ammo is a pain to find, 7.62x38R.

    My rifle.

Thanks, I might have to look into that as budget allows. For some reason I feel like I've seen those videos on Youtube before.

    My rifle.

Looks like a great course to take. Any prerequisites to take it, and cost if you don't mind me asking on this thread.

    My rifle.

    High risk civilian contractor?
  9. I like the idea of it and was considering one due to the wide variety of barrels and their respective calibers you can get for it, but I'm very unsure about it.
  10. Does anyone have any experience with a Rossi Wizard? I read some reviews and they seem really mixed.
  11. Solution guys, Rossi Wizard. Has 21 different barrels, for seven hundred we can get something like 5 different rifles... Joking, but kinda cool when you think about it.
  12. That is awesome, yet slightly pointless. I want it though, lol.
  13. But yes what would YOU get for 700 or less.
  14. @DaveTN, are you talking about the old style one with the round barrel or the new style one with the triangle shaped barrel? Also no that figure isn't including optics.
  15. He is very correct though... Hmm with 2700 we could almost get a Ga Precision or one of those SAM-R type rifles. Lever action combined with a bolt action anyone? Don't think it would work but never hurts to dream.
  16. Though $700 worth of 5.56 ammo would make me very happy...
  17. .308 is what I would do if I get a bolt action. I've heard good things about savage but never shot one.
  18. Around here the max for hunting would be what, about 600 yards to 800 maybe? I keep wanting to go back to a lever-action though. I had a Winchester Model 94 and loved it but made the mistake of selling it a while back. Possibly get a lever action again and just put some nice optics on it. Even though this is the exact opposite of what I just said.
  19. I was considering a 700, always have liked them. I want something that is good for general hunting and long range shooting.
  20. If you could spend 700 dollars on a rifle new or used, what would you buy and why? I'm thinking about purchasing a new rifle but I don't know which direction to head. I'm leaning toward a bolt action or lever action, but I want to get some feedback on what else you would recommend.
  21. One of those Magpul angled grips might be nice on that, if it only had one rail that is. Not as bad as the Mossberg one, but not much better.
  22. @Barewoolf, I have the Maxpedition Aggressor Attache and I love it. Got it fairly recently but I take it to the office everyday. It definitely has room for your computer and everything else you could want. I personally keep a knife, light, glowsticks, quick-clot (or whatever you want to call it), ifak kit, safety glasses, and earplugs. Occasionally some other things as deemed necessary like water bottle and what-not.
  23. Don't feed the gorilla meatloaf?
