  1. Just sent a pm to him, now just to wait and see what he has to say.
  2. Will do. I just find it funny that someone that spent something like 700 dollars on a knife would trade it for a scope... I mean it seems really suspicious, in my mind at least.
  3. A guy is wanting to trade me the above knife for a scope, says it's worth a decent amount. It's not that I don't trust him, it's just that I want to see what other people have to say about it and the value of it.
  4. Parts kit, or possibly a conversion.
  5. Have any of you built your own AK? How involved of a process is that for someone who has never built one? I'm good with metal and machining for the most part, but never have built anything other than Ar's.
  6. Great, I have heard good things about them. It is just a little confusing because there is Sarco.com, or something close to that, and then e-sarcoinc.com. Which I am assuming they are the same company but I wasn't really sure.
  7. I saw one of those on Armslist the other day. Really clean one too, apparently it was an early import or something. Though it would be great if it used regular AK mags, or does it?
  8. Send me a pm with your number and I'll give you a call/text whichever works for you next time I'm in town.
  9. Personally I don't think it looks that bad but I guess that's a personal taste issue.
  10. I think there is a place to tactical and non-tactical firearms, this though crosses that line in a very bad way. It would be nice to have the top rail for a scope but unless you're hunting zombie I don't think you really will need a vertical grip... The collapsible stock is kinda nice though, if only it could be done in wood, like an Ar-10 furniture.
  11. Great, I was planning on calling them anyway to ask some questions. Apparently you can also trade them things for parts kits, doesn't seem like that bad of a deal.
  12. Also, have any of you dealt with E-Sarconinc? Reputable group or not?
  13. Well yes, I think I have actually seen a kit out there, or maybe it was blueprints for how to turn the tube out of pvc or something. I looked at them last night but I really don't want anyone else to build it for me, I would rather do it myself.
  14. Where do you normally shoot? I'll see if I can't take a day off next time I'm in town and take a look at it.
  15. I was looking around on the internet today and came across a Polish RPD parts kit. Out of curiosity, I was wondering how involved of a build it would be having never built anything like this from a kit. Also what kind of paperwork would need to be done in order to build it?
  16. Well I guess it would be better for me to just wait a little longer and see if I can't see my weapon light and then pay the extra bit for a better rifle.
  17. Well I'm hearing a lot of good things about Arsenal, guess that's the way I should head then?
  18. Just as some of the other people have said I carry two Surefire lights everyday, and have for the past several years. One is the old model E2D Defender, and the other is the Backup. Never had a problem with either of them. Yes, they are expensive but I have put mine through a lot and they still work. I have also had some other lights from Streamlight, but had to fix one with a hammer when it stopped working. Apparently lightly tapping it got something to work again, go figure.
  19. They have a Tula marked Ak on Atlantic Firearms, think that's going to have to be the one since it would match my Mosin-Nagant, and Nagant rifle, in terms of factory where they were made.
  20. Because honestly I just want a bare bones, no frills Ak to shoot at the range.
  21. I was just now looking on there, the prices really aren't all that bad.
  22. I might consider doing that instead then. Choices choices... Then again I found an RPD kit online for not too bad of a price so I'm wondering about doing that instead. That is if I can find a receiver for it, and figure out what paperwork needs to be done.
  23. or would it be better just to buy individual pieces and pre-pressed/milled receiver? I guess while I'm on that idea, I have heard that milled is better, would you recommend going with a milled receiver?
  24. Well this has been quite helpful. Guess I will continue looking around for something. Any recommendations on a parts kit if I wanted to build my own?
