  1. Thanks folks. I ordered a couple Wilsons for it yesterday.
  2. I went with the ETC VZ's too. I got the Black Desert Sand but I might have to pickup a set of Black Cherry after seeing yours.
  3. Thanks. I went ahead and bought it yesterday. The guy who traded it in happened to be in the shop yesterday when I was there. He said he carried it for about 3 months and then put it in the safe. Gonna try and hit the range today and see how it shoots. New VZ grips are on the way (hate the grips that are on it), need to decide on a holster and get one ordered. Here's a crappy cell pic before I gave it a good cleaning.
  4. Any Ultra CDP II owners here? I ran across a used one in good shape today I'm thinking about buying. No dings or scratches on it, sights still bright, very little wear and was told about 500 rounds through it. Just wanted to know the likes/dislikes anybody has on them. I've really not checked prices on used Kimbers before, would something in the $800-$850 range be a decent deal?
  5. I've got one and they're definitely worth it.
  6. Threeeighty is right about the mag disconnect and safety de-cock. I just got a P22Q and took it to the range for the first time today. I used CCI Minimags and Blazers and had no issues. Mine came with only one magazine.
  7. You'll like them. Makes the gun a lot more comfortable with the lower cap magazine.
  8. Congrats on the XDM. +1 on the Pearce extentions. I put them on my 9 rd magazines for my XD40sc.
  9. Congrats. I picked up an XD40sc a couple days ago.
  10. Very nice. I grew up with a Single Six. Wish I still had it.
  11. Thanks for the traction grips link. I'm going to pick up a couple of the uni kits.
  12. 76 MG in pi$$ yellow. No power at all but it was a blast to drive.
  13. My granny always had a container of bacon grease by the stove to cook with. I loved her bacon grease grilled cheese sandwich with bacon grease fried potatoes.
  14. He gave it plenty of character lol. It was definitely well used. I was probably around 8 or so when I got my Nylon 66. I thought I was the man because mine had a scope on it.
  15. I went out of town for a few days to visit my Mom. She said she wanted me to take my old 22's and a few that belonged to my Dad. I had forgot she kept my 22's. Learned to shoot with both of them. Remington Targetmaster model 41 in surprisingly good shape and my good ole Nylon 66. She wanted me to have his deer rifles. A Rem 760 30.06 and a 742 30.06. The 742 is in pretty rough shape. The next 2 were the ones I really wanted. A Remington 1100 12ga that Dad bought new and his Model 11, both in really good shape. The model 11 was my grandfathers, then dads and now mine. This one means a lot. (the Mossberg was able to sneak in to the shot) They all need cleaned and oiled...then they're getting shot. Very happy to have them all at my house.
  16. I've got the Blackhawk. The swivel clips on the Blackhawk look a little different than the one in your pic. They are metal though. I can take a couple pics for you if you want.

Mine has shot pretty much anything I put through it with no problems. It's a little chunky but I don't find it heavy at all. The only thing I didn't really like about mine was the feel of the grip, especially if it got a little wet. I put a Hogue Handall sleeve on it.
  18. I'm glad you posted this, I had forgot about it. I'm going tomorrow.
  19. I recently thought about this and decided two would be the way to go. I already had a shotgun but piked up a Mossberg 500 Tactical today for HD. Much more compact and easier to get around the house with when the need arises.
  20. Ran across the forum while looking for some gun accessories. Just getting back in to shooting after many years. Thanks for having me. Jimmy
