  1. Congrats. I've been meaning to pick up another Rat to keep in my vehicle. They're supposed to be coming out with a Rat 2 (20% smaller) March 1st. Definitely getting one of those.
  2. I think I'm going to drop by there next time I'm in Knoxville.
  3. I was kidding about going to Home Depot but I think I might order that Harbor Freight sander. I've seen it recommended before. Thanks Major.
  4. I got a Rat 3 a year or so ago to keep in my vehicle. It's been used 2 or 3 times, just enough to start getting the factory edge a little dull (wasn't very sharp to begin with). I bought a DMT Alinger along with an xx coarse and xx fine stone for it and it's been a lifesaver for my lack of talent at freehand sharpening ass. I've used it on a few of my knives, even one el cheapo, and got hair shaving results.   I decided to get the Rat 3 out last night and got to work with the Aligner. After 45 min. I decided it's either made from Kyrptonite or Sharpnessunobtainium. After another wasted hour today I'm sure it's Sharpnessunobtainium. This thing will not take an edge. I have honestly gotten nowhere wth it. Has anybody had a problem with sharpening a Rat? It's supposed to be 1095 but I'm beginning to wonder if I somehow got a D2. The DMT has done great with my other knives that are 1095. I've had a few ESEE's and could get them fairly sharp with just a couple stones and, as I said, I really suck at sharpening.   I'm starting to move passed the pissed off stage and in to the going to Home Depot and buy a damn belt sander stage. If that happens there will probably be a Rat with a 1/2" long, 1/8" wide blade with no edge free to a good home listed in the Classifieds.   Thank you.....I feel a little better now.
  5. Very nice...love the finish on the blade.
  6. You won't go wrong with either option. Unless they just got some some in, you won't see a PM2 at SMKW. I've been trying to find one for a month or so. If you like the ZT's, you can get a blem at a killer price and almost save enough money to get a Delica to go with it.
  7. Not a very good pic but might give you an idea as far as size and shape between them. From top to bottom- Native Delica 4 serrated Delica 4 ZT 0350 stone wash ZT 0350 tiger stripe Rat 1 Endura 4
  8. I had planned on getting one from Godspeed but he's not taking any orders right now.
  9. I've got a Native, Delica 4, Endura 4 and Rat 1. Out of those 4 I like the Delica best. For the money the Rat 1 is hard to beat though. I recently got a couple ZT 0350s and the other knives have not been seeing much use.
  10. Yea, for the price it sucks that they don't come with a better sheath. I've got a taco style kydex with a small Tek Lok being made for mine. I wrapped mine but have a set of micarta scales that should be here Tues.
  11. Thanks for the info Dolomite. I really like the reticle on the PCL version.

    S&W M&P 22

Congrats! I Love mine. It's a lot more comfortable to shoot than my P22Q was. I wish my M&P 9 had half as good a trigger out of the box as the .22 did LOL.
  13. The 1st one definitely got my attention. I thought there was an explosion in my subdivision. I heard the second one but it wasn't as strong. My dog usually starts barking if he thinks he heard a squirrel fart but didn't pay any attention to whatever this was.
  14. Very nice! I carry an Ultra CDP II and just ordered an Eclipse Pro II.
  15. I'm wanting to pickup a small fixed blade for EDC every now and then. It'll get some but not a lot of use so for the $$ the ESEE Candiru is at the top of my want list. Anybody here have one? If so, did you get a kydex sheath made to go with it and from who? I'm liking the desert tan with a set of black micarta scales.
  16. I picked up some Velas Hellas at Smoky Mt Brewery for tonight.
  17. Congrats to you and your family! Hope mom is doing well.
  18. Ran by my LGS, they'd sold their last 15-22 earlier this week.
  19. I'm gonna try to stop by there tomorrow. I'll let you know.
  20. My LGS seems to have 1 or 2 on the rack everytime I go in. I've not stopped by in a couple weeks but can check if you want me to. I'm in Morristown.
  21. Nice...I like the raw/polished finish on the blade. Love to see some more pics if you get the chance. Congrats!!
  22. I've still got the first rifle my dad bought me, a Remington Nylon 66. I try to take it out at least once a month. I've also got his Remington 41 that was his first gun.
  23. I got one a couple weeks ago for $355. Mags are tough to find right now. I got lucky and found some at Midway for $26, they sold out quick though.
  24. Congrats...the TS blade looks better every time I see it.
  25. Thanks David!
