  1. Anybody wearing UA Valsetz boots? Any likes/dislikes? I need a pair of light, warm weather boots and like the looks of these. Price seems to have dropped on them since the side zip model came out. They'll mostly just be used for everyday wear.
  2. Thanks CZ. I think I'll order a couple pair.
  3. CZ...how's the fit on the ones you got? I normally get a size larger for IWB carry but I've read some people say they run small.
  4. I know what you mean. If you were closer I'd be more than happy to let you take it for a test drive.
  5. I've never noticed it moving on me. If you:re asking about cant.it's pretty much a straight drop. I can get a little forward cant with it though. The clips I got are for a deeper ride. Haven't had any trouble with it feeling top heavy.
  6. I got the 'assemble yourself' hybrid from Old Faithful during one of their sales, it's pretty comfortable. I wanted a small profile holster and got a Slimline for my FS 9mm from Randy at Crossfire Holsters. I love it. Conceals really well and doesn't take up much space. I ordered a j clip with it and like it better than the loop. Not so great pics
  7. I've got a Spyderco Dragonfly on the way I'm gonna try out as a keychain knife. 2 1/4 blade and just over an ounce. The Ladybug and Manbug are great little knives for keychains but are smaller. 2 inch blades and around .6-.7 ounces.
  8. I love the GR sights but couldn't find anybody local to solder the front sight. I ended up putting a Meprolight Night Sight bead on mine along with a Hogue short LOP stock, Limbsaver, TacStar side saddle, LaserLyte tri rail and a Specter 2 point sling. I'm using a cheapo NCStar flashlight on it but plan on getting a Surefire forearm for it. The Magpul stuff looks realy nice on the 500's too.
  9. I tried a friends Sig and it was a jam-o-matic. The Walther P22Q and Ruger I had ran great on anything I tried in 'em. Both were great little guns. Of course, like an idiot, I sold them. I picked up an M&P 22 and it's had zero problems. Trigger on the thing is great too. I usually break them in with mini mags and then use Blazer or Federal.
  10. I agree with Nicky. That's probably my favorite knife you've done. Great work!!
  11. Not really camo'd or an EBR but my 742 had seen better days and needed a new look.
  12. Congrats on the PM2. One of my favorite EDC blades. I've got one like yours and a camo/black.
  13. I bought a plain and while I really liked it, I didn't love it. Sold it and got a large with micarta inlays....you won't be sorry going with the inlays.   Nice 200 also. I've got a 566 on order to go with my other ZT's.
  14. Nice knives...congrats!! I've got both myself and they're great. If anybody's looking for the Benchmade, check Knife Works before you order from anybody else.
  15. I use either a Spyderco Sharpmaker or a DMT Aligner. Both are pretty simple to use and do a great job.
  16. Congrats!! Glad you like it.
  17. I told him to try and remember or find out who the guy is and let me know. He said the guy wasn't selling at a table. He was walking around outside when my friend ran into him.
  18. A buddy I play golf with called last night. He's a gun and knife guy too so we always ask each other "what have you bought lately?" I told him I'd picked up a few new knives and had a Sebenza showing up in a couple days. He said he'd picked up a small off a guy at a gun show. I told him if he was out to run by with it. He came by this morning. After telling a few lies to each other he handed me his $200 Sebenza. I hated to tell him the bad news. I've only seen one other fake in person and I'm no expert but this one looks a lot closer to the real thing than they used to. Quality wise, I've got a $10 SRM that's smoother. A few bad cell phone pics.
  19. My TSST is a blem. The only thing I could find was a tiny spot in the finish on the blade.
  20. Congrats! Dave is great to deal with.
  21. Check out kershawguy.com. If you want to save some $$ get one of his blems.
  22. I've got a plain edge and a serrated 0350. One of the best knives you can get for the money.
  23. Thanks! I'm looking forward to getting the Sebenza. I believe the search may soon be on for a nice used large micarta.
  24. I need to slow down on the knife buying. I decided to order a new Sebenza that will be here next week. I also got a fixed blade from a knifemaker in NC. 1095, green micarta, 4 inch blade, hand stiched and dyed sheath.
  25. Thought about it but by the time I had the blade and handle refinished + shipping both ways I'd be close to the price of a new one. It's a great service to offer to owners though. They do look like new when they come back.
