  1. The Colt Paterson was the first and is readily identifiable by its lack of a trigger guard. First produced in 1836.
  2. I like this idea, if you are referring to the ejector. Check that "tab" looking protrusion on the left inside the receiver it should be flat and smooth. BTW, never let the hammer drop on an AK without the bolt and carrier in place as the hammer will beat the ejector mercilessly.
  3. I see no way that replacing the stock would cause that. Are you riding the bolt or letting it slam shut?
  4. The one thing you can be assured of in a high profile case like this...everyone is looking for a payday. The targets really don't bother me much. It is what it is....another crass display of Americans doing what they do. I am jaded past the point of caring anymore.
  5. Those CZ Scout are really neat little rifles. I've been wanting one for some time now. They really aren't that tiny like many youth rifles...perfect size for a full grown kid.
  6. I seriously doubt it. US troops were not issued weapons by UN command, Lugers where well retired by the 50's and American soldiers have quite a history of taking personal arms into combat. Again, it was a .30 Luger. Not a common thing even back then.
  7. They used to say nachos but I've never seen those at the Evil Empire. I bought bullets the first time.
  8. Try not to sweat too much or go tugging at your clothes....nevermind, you'll fit right in.
  9. Pervs. I was talking about Elephant Man syndrome (elephantiasis, a medical condition) dambit!!!
  10. I bought and made (and enhanced) one of his chili fixin' kits in honor tonight.
  11. True, but this week it's all about the gays. There's still 6 months until the election.......
  12. zort...another vote for Obama.
  13. Yeah, but did he bully a kid that might turn out to be gay years later. The pansification of the nation has gone from generational to weekly. Thanks media!
  14. I wonder why. It's been like that for the past 10 hours. Looks like another great Palmetto deal that's gonna take forever to deliver on...if they don't go out of business.
  15. I am profoundly sad to hear this Gordon. My condolences to your family.
  16. Many, including myself, did in the primaries. Now it's reality time.
  17. Some reloading music to go along with it....
  18. I really did not need to know about this.
  19. That sounds about right. It's impossible to keep up gun dealers, importers, hawkers, etc.
  20. What some don't understand is if you vote, and don't for Romney, you are essentially voting for Obama. That means Paul, write-ins and whoever else may be on the ballot.
  21. Next show is June 9-10 at Chilhowee. The guy who sells them is Mike Lett (Sgt. Mike Lett of KCSO for you locals) and calls his outfit Mike's Gun Room. He usually has the best prices on new handguns. His crew always wears blue denimish shirts and he kinda looks like Jim Scoutten from the Shooting USA show. At Chillhowee they usually set up at the head of a couple of aisles over to the left as you enter.
  22. Usually by this point in a thread like this someone has already blabbed to the store so they can come join and put up a defense.
  23. If I'm not mistaken Caracal USA, based in Knoxville, is the importer of these strange handguns. There is no storefront. There is a local dealer who is at all the Knoxville shows that carries them. He's had a few at the last couple of shows for something like $419, I think. He doesn't have a store either. I've never shot one but they feel great in the hand.
  24. Cysts can grow to obscene proportions. Just ask any big fat woman who's had a hundred pound one removed or Google those guys with big huge ground-dragging nads. In other words get it taken care of. In a case like this a 2nd, 3rd or 4th opinion is warranted.
