1. Wideners.com had some KCI mags for G17 and G19 Glocks earlier today. Bit of a premium ($16) though - I'll wait.
2. Sig P238 is what my wife ended up with after a long search. She had trouble racking most pistols due to arthritic hands, but she can rack the P238 easily. I've carried a few times and it is really nice.   I think the Bersa Thunder has a keyed lock and has a special key to unlock, so it might be a good choice because of the kids.
3. Welcome! Can always use another Tarheel here!
4. A coin collecting friend of mine said that a coin show is the best place to sell silver. You can check with all the dealers to see what they will pay. Seems to be a pretty secure way of doing business. I suppose some would also buy gold or platinum. I plan on selling some that way when the price goes up a bit more.

6. Discount for Old Faithful holsters good until 11/14 Save 25% Use coupon code "stockup" at checkout for a 25% discount. Please share this coupon code with your friends and family so they don't miss out on this offer. Also, don't forget to share this coupon with your favorite gun forums. 7. I got an Old Faithful holster kit that is a kydex hybrid. They are offered as kits or completely assembled. I did a Stage 2 kit and saved about half the price of a completed holster. IMO it is better quality than a Kholster that I also own. http://oldfaithfulholsters.com/shop/category/holsters/
8. The grabagun Kel-Tec is gone. Would be very tempting, but I'm holding out for the 9mm Glock version.
9. Welcome! Sounds like you will fit in well with this forum.
10. Welcome!
11. My wife used a .22 to qualify due to her arthritic hands. She was usually only good for about 25 to 30 rounds at the range with her 9mm without her hands hurting for days. So she used an unfamiliar .22 single action revolver. She didn't shoot as well with the .22 but easily passed (96%). She hurried her shots because it took her longer to reload and she knew she was holding the others in the class up. In my opinion, this is a better test of ability than shooting your own weapon. You're just punching paper to get your permit.
12. Had a couple of ADT salesmen (supposedly) come up to me while I was working on my truck in the driveway. I wasn't armed, so I picked up a BF hammer as they approached. I told them I was well protected and didn't need ADT. They asked what about when I was away from home. I told them I had a brother-in-law that was probably watching them from the house as we spoke. I also told them I didn't have to worry about the house ever being unprotected since I had been unsuccessfully trying to get my BIL out of my house for years!
13. Rice would a much more versatile food supply, but as far as nutritional value of popcorn vs. rice, they are pretty much equal. Slightly more protein, iron and fiber from popcorn, but more calcium from the rice. As far as calories per pound, they are equal. Personally, fifty pounds of popcorn seems excessive, but a few pounds would be a nice change of diet.
14. Here's a good link for a petition and sending emails to our senators and reps. Dick Morris urged signing the petition on Fox News this morning. http://www.dickmorris.com/
15. I'd probably try open carrying with the biggest handgun I have and make sure the neighbor sees me.
16. I had the same problem with a P238 I bought for my wife, only it was with WWB ammo. Hornady CD worked fine. I polished the feed ramp, shot a couple hundred rounds through it, and left the mag loaded for a couple of weeks, then retried the WWB and had no problems with feeding. I could tell a difference after polishing the feed ramp and suggest you try that. The p238 I got has the latest spring and magazine. I also picked up another 7-round mag and am having no problems. The only other problem is one stovepipe with the Hornady CD with the wife shooting - possibly a limp wristing issue.
17. How about pocket carry of the P-32? Inside a pocket holster of course.
18. Sweet! But that poor revolver sure looks lonely!
19. Voted early for Santorum.
20. I've used USAAmmo with zero problems. Have shot about 500-600 rounds of 9mm, 380, and 38 special with not a single problem. Most of the ammo has been their "new" ammo. It did shoot a bit dirtier than most name brand. Cost of shipping was high too - it was shipped from Idaho.
21. Well you were right! SGAmmo is cheaper. Must have gotten confused with all the choices. I looked at SGAmmo, but must have not been comparing apples to apples. I ordered a case of Lawman 115gr 9mm TMJ. Total at Target Sports was $229.80. Total at SGAmmo was $215.80. Just cost myself $14. Just realized I was initially comparing the same product in 380 ACP. It was $11 cheaper at Target Sports.
22. Thanks for the heads up Threeeighty. Free shipping on cases (1000 rds). Just placed an order.
23. I used Williams Door the last time one broke. It was about 10 years ago though and cost about $120. Don't know if they are still around or not, but they did a good job. I also bought replacement springs for a rental house from a company in Chicago (DDM Garage Doors) and installed them myself. The garage door used tension springs instead of torsion springs, so they were a special order. The total cost for two springs $56 which included shipping. http://ddmgaragedoors.com/springs/garage-door-springs.php
24. Thanks for the reply, I ordered one this afternoon with the kydex already molded. Was able to use a discount code that was given on GunTalk radio show and saved about $6. Don't know how long the discount lasts, but the discount code is TOM.
25. I'm registered and currently leaning toward Santorum, If not Santorum, then Romney, Gingrich, Paul - in that order. ABO.
