    My first AR build

Wow, that stuff looks pretty awesome. I'd be worried about botching the paint job myself. I'd love to see some of your results w/ that method. Glad you decided to let us posers in on such a cool product.

    My first AR build

I'm a little curious as to how you painted your own markings as well. What kind of paint? How did you apply it? A syringe?
  3. Who's next? This guy: http://www.golsn.com/listings/outdoor_adventure/firearms/rifles-shotguns/645438.html That's the century A2 builds that were bringing $599-650ish just several weeks ago...

    Del-Ton is very busy

Yeah, I've got everything but my upper for my middy now, and I'm one of the lucky few that will have their Del-Ton kit before Christmas! I AM however starting to look for parts for my SPR build, and have been looking around on the EE a bit. What's your username on arfcom? Mine is: brace yourself... "poak".
  5. I'm wondering if he'll accuse me of being a low-baller!
  6. No answer. Left a message about a "package deal" for the Hi-Point and the MAK: "...something in around 3k, maybe?" I want to see what his response is...

I think they've limited the feature to edit/change your orders as I beleive it was messing w/ their inventory.
  8. Maybe we should ALL call?
  9. How dare you question his Hi-Point's value:death:
  10. Are you sure there isnt 10 of them there and they're just stacked so precisely one on top of the other that it appears to be one?
  11. My mom works for Caterpillar Financial. She says they hire IT pros pretty often. You have to submit a resume online. Let me know if you're interested and I'll come up w/ a link for you.

Building yourself a Super SASS with that .308 lower?!

    Del-Ton is very busy

If you placed it 2wks ago, you'll probably be waiting a while! I think they are in the early/low 22000s now.
  14. Yeah, I get (er, I dont "get", but I understand) the panic buys on hi-cap mags, EBR goodies, and Kalashnikovia, but why the run on 1911s? I've been keeping a "loose eye" out for possibly a RIA or a stainless Springer G.I., but the market for low-buck 1911s seems to have also taken a hit as of late. Kinda annoying...
  15. Sometimes?

Time of discovery? I found out about them like, FOREVER before you. The only reason I even posted about them is because I knew the fad had passed, so it was safe to divulge the info to all you posers.

Pssssh... I called light to this back when it was still cool... http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14065&highlight=noveske EDIT: BTW, before anyone calls me a jherka jherka or gets their panties in a wad, I'm joking.
  19. True, haha.
  20. Parkerized Springfield Armory G.I. in the TGO classifieds now: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/vbclassified.php?do=ad&id=323 Looks to be in good shape. If it was stainless, I'd be pretty tempted...
  21. Wouldn't shooting ComBloc 7.62 in an AR upper be unarguably dirtier than shooting Wolf in a 5.56 AR upper due to the charecteristics of the load of each respectable round? Or would the difference be unmeasurable? Ha, I'm just wildly speculating for sake of discussion, I've no interest in a 7.62 upper.
  22. Nope, just lazy about cleaning

    Bushmaster

Yeah, I dont think bushy is bad, but I myself would probably lean towards the S&W MP15 line if I was looking for an off the shelf rifle in that price range.
  24. Problem is, most 7.62 ammo is a little dirty, which is fine and dandy for the AK, which never met a round it didnt like. However, the design of the AR's gas system isn't to fond of that dirty ammo.
  25. ZING!
