I thought that was here. Wonder why I can't find it? Someone do that for me. OK??? Rabbi is OK. He just won't admit when he's wrong. He's as stubborn as I am.

ALL of my ancestors were in Georgia during the Late Unpleasantness. Don't recall if any were in the 4th Georgia or not.

I thought we had a poll at one time about who was in the military. Must have been on another board. I remember I was surprised how many members were military veterans. Yeah, I have some hearing loss, but not nearly as bad as some of the Korean War vets I know.

Why would you want to carry in a CHURCH?

He was. He wanted to make sure you said that "I do" part. -
Well, military guys don't even want to think about a KIA.
-
Well personally, I'm crushed. Since they got married Tower and Julie don't call me or write to me any more.

This is the thing. It's not just CO2 and temperature correlations. And it's not fudged data (on both sides of the issue) either. There are a lot of things going into this study that seldom get talked about outside of the scientific community. In the FWIW column, John Stossel did a segment on 20/20 this past week basically parroting the naysayer party line. http://abcnews.go.com/2020/Stossel/story?id=3751219&page=1 Perhaps the saddest thing in the piece was showing kids who think the oceans are going to rise and flood them sometime soon.

I depends on the situation. The BUG isn't a replacement for a magazine. It's a replacement for a gun that has quit functioning, or a weapon you can get to in case you can't use the primary for whatever reason. I'll take the BUG over a spare mag myself if I'm just going to carry one but not the other. But I have been known to go into some urban situations with four spare magazines (66 rounds total) plus a BUG with a spare magazine for it too. You just have to use some common sense.

Yeah, I see no reason for Glocks to be worse than other handguns that are holstered in the cocked mode (or essentially cocked). I haven't figured it out yet. I either de-cock the USP or else I am very careful when replacing it in the holster. Same with the Beretta.

Yeah Creeky, that an Israeli draw. Not hard to do, but it does take a little more time. I know why Glocks blow up, but I've never figured out why there are so many Glock legs and butts. In our immediate area, I know of seven Glock ADs into the leg or butt and one 1911 leg wound in the past three years. Nothing else in other handgun brands. Maybe Julie has better data? The normal Glockie excuse for Glock wounds is that there are more of them than other guns. I doubt there are seven times as many Glocks as 1911s though, and that doesn't explain the zero numbers on everything else. As I say, I'm still trying to figure out the reasons for the Glockings.

Naw, I was looking for information about the rumored fully supported Glock chamber and he was contacted for me and we talked on the phone and in person for probably an hour. He loves Glocks but doesn't shoot reloads and carries without a round in the chamber. He even went through a demonstration for me of why he thinks Glock packers get Glock Leg or Glock Butt. He does an Israeli draw.
-
I've got to shoot one of those. I even heard a Glock guy say nice things about the M&P the other day.
-
Exactly. And the laws passed would not have stopped the shootings if they existed before the events. The only thing we have going for us is that the Democrats still remember what happened the last time they passed gun banning measures. A number of them did not return to their elected office. But their memory may be about to fade and they may forget the will of the people if there aren't some grassroots efforts to remind them.

I've actually bought several guns from Crowder. But you have to give him the money and walk out with the gun. But I agree, you have to be careful and never-never give him any money without walking out with your purchase. There are a bunch of shops in the Tri-Cities. You could easily spend a day or more hitting all of them. And as skwashdem says, some are in the boonies. -
Well, H&Ks only come in two flavors - good and gooder.
-
Doesn't surprise me. I don't think I've ever heard any of the LEOs I've dealt with say that they opposed citizen carry with proper training and background check.

I thought the holster carry was all week. -
This is why I reload. I guess I do save money, but I'm interested in the best performance from one particular rifle. Reloading lets me load rounds that would not be available commercially. And that translates into measurably better accuracy.

Ooo, that looks unpleasant. Glad they replaced the upper for you.

ETSU Students Protest For Campus Carry

I'm really impressed that these students have been able to pull this off. In our area, the initial denial of letting them carry empty holsters actually go them TV publicity when the university relented. -

There is an art to doing effective interviews. This is a pretty good primer. -
Reality has to come into play at some point. If you approach people as he did, you are going to lose. You need to sit back for a minute and formulate the best way to actually achieve your goal. In your face tactics are stupid because they don't work unless you are in a position of overwhelming authority. Lots of us pro-gun people need to learn that lesson. Sitting back and saying nothing is also stupid, as well as wimpy. You need to figure out a way that does work and go with it. I like to say that God gave us a brain so we can use it. Tim, I agree that the guy didn't need to tuck tail. He did need to not act like an idiot. He destroyed any chance of having his request honored by his actions. He became the story rather than the need to carry for protection on his satellite campus. I have a feeling being the center of attention is very important to him. I'm a supporter of achieving goals rather than just spout off my opinions. I try to put myself in a position to get my way by having the authority to make the decisions. But if you don't have that authority, in my experience, finesse generally works a lot better in getting your way than being a loudmouth.

Well, I don't know about no one else, but I decided to take a more direct approach and get to know the lawmakers. With the mysterious cloak of secrecy prevalent at the TFA, I'm not even sure I'd join these days. Oooo, can't divulge the constitution except on the third full moon of the year at midnight and then only if you show up in person. -
Yeah, the guys I know at the ATF are so in love with themselves, they wouldn't be interested in women.
