  1. That's really unusual. Normally we hear of the great customer service at K-T. Anything unusual about when it happened?
  2. Snow is coming down and beginning to stick on the ground, but the temp is 34 degrees.
  3. A gunman could permanently take their mind off of the message.
  4. I'm with you. The guys I have coffee with (I'm the youngster of the group) always call them clips. My daddy called them clips. He was right on everything. You better not insult my daddy!
  5. We've dropped a couple of degrees here in the last hour, down to 37 degrees. It is raining. I don't think the weather guys have a clue about what will happen. That's OK. To misquote Jerry Reed, I've got no where to go and lots of time to get there. Is it too early to have a beer? ......yeah, I think it is..... <UPDATE> We now have a rain/snow mix....Wow, it's moving to all show as I type. Still too warm to accumulate though.
  6. Yeah, it's a bad idea to put your finger on the trigger until ready to fire. But the real world shows that even experienced people do it frequently. You have to make allowance for that. Just telling people to keep their finger off of the trigger doesn't mean that they will do it. I don't know the complete answer. Probably a combination of training and designing the gun so it isn't too easy to set off. Reasonable trigger pressures and travel go a long way toward that goal.
  7. Still 57 degrees here.
  8. Well, then you don't need to be here. The purpose of this board is to share information. It's not a one way pipeline.
  9. Yeah, not too many folks out there with degrees in Electrical Engineering, Psychology and Philosophy. I guess I'm either a very concrete abstract thinker or an abstract concrete thinker. Nothing wrong with him asking questions, I just don't want our folks wasting time if there is no reason.
  10. Not to get personal, but one of my degrees is in Psychology and I do critiques of research projects. I can't see any beneficial data coming from this rather simplistic set of questions. If this is for research, the researcher needs to learn how to do it. Where are you located. Your IP address says Canton, Ohio.
  11. Wow, I just checked http://www.trafficland.com/city/MEM/index.html. I checked it a very few hours ago and Memphis had rain, but nothing white.
  12. Milk.... I have about a quart left. But I did pick up a 30 pack of beer, so who cares if I run out of milk? It doesn't sound like they expect much snow, if any, here. It's supposed to finally hit freezing about 5 PM tomorrow. That horrendous looking storm front this morning just measured 0.02 inches of rain.

In short, as I read it, a church school is a private school and just because you are not having school there at the moment but are instead using it for church services carry is nevertheless prohibited.
  14. I tried a NAA 22 lr pistol for a little while after reading about a construction guy using one in Florida after a hurricane to protect himself from various people who shouldn't be there. From that I went to the Beretta Tomcat, then the Kel-Tec P32 and finally the P3AT. None are horrible choices and each has its advantages. I like the 380 because of it's extra punch. It is a bit snappier than the .32 but it isn't a range target pistol. I'm willing to give up comfort for the power.
  15. With the race in Bristol next weekend, I figure it should snow about Thursday.
  16. I have wondered about him. But he could be packing. For some reason some shops have a hard time keeping the P3AT in stock and others don't seem to have that problem.
  17. I don't think the military is likely to go for a gun without a hammer, except for MPs.
  18. We are just getting the rain now. We have the cold system converging on us from the northwest and a warm system from the south. All they know is that we are going to be very wet today and think we might get a few snow showers tomorrow. Weekend. Have to stock up on the beer and snacks today.
  19. Well, technically....
  20. A very uplifting post.

  22. Fanny packs - bleh! I'd just get a pocket pistol. Men with fanny packs are either gay or packing. By the time you got out your handgun, you would already be shot and bleeding out. As always, I recommend the Kel-Tec P3AT back pocket gun in a Don Hume holster.
  23. Nah, if that's what you need to feel more safe then go for it. Personally, if I felt that way (I did), I'd trade it in on a different handgun (also I did).
  24. I'm with you Cody. The idea is not to live slowly, but to live richly.
  25. I just wonder why AP had a story with that unit in it?
