  1. IMHO, genetics is a bitch.
  2. You are a Democrat, aren't you. BTW, I also carry a knife.
  3. Well that is as terrible a decision as keeping the wife.
  4. Very odd. Glocks are generally very reliable. My problems with them are in other areas. Since you don't seem to have problems with limp-wristing, I'd have to guess it has something to do with the extension magazines? Maybe I've mis-read your post, but that is my guess.
  5. Show me a guy who doesn't like to cook and I'll show you a repressed homosexual. (well not really, but I do have a degree in Psychology and this sounds good). But I will say the best fighters I know are inventive when it comes to food.
  6. I sometime find simplistic answers are best. If someone indicates that he will tase me, I'll assume he intends to do me great bodily harm. If I can, he will be dead.
  7. I've never figured out why I'm not sick all of the time. I'm in constant contact with zillions of people. And I don't take a flu shot because it is so limited geographically. I'm as likely to be around someone in Colombia as Columbia. I throw the dice and I take my chances. So far, so good.
  8. I'm not sure you are wrong. I know his heart is in the right place, but I've never been convinced that he is really our friend.

    Baretta 32 auto

I had one for a while. Decided to upgrade, to something smaller and eventually more powerful. But if your wife likes it, then go with it. It is a very good pistol. It will serve her well. Or at least better than something sitting at home. I will recommend that she look at a Kel-Tec P-32 though. Easier to conceal but not to load. You can load it for her.
  10. Had another call. I'll miss the pizza, but might make the shoot.
  11. Hey neat.... Can I come for lunch?
  12. They might have just a little..problem from me.
  13. Dixie, if you ever hear a threat from me, it's too late.
  14. Actually, they physically posted the bomb threat on the employee bathroom door in Penney's. At least that is the report in the paper. Who knows? All we heard was that it was on the door of the downstairs bathroom. They just changed the security company at the mall - again. So the story may be f*cked up and it might have been one old security folks. Mall security is a joke, of course. No guns. No weapons. Guess you could throw your radio at the perp. Better for a guard and patrons die than they shoot someone they shouldn't (or maybe should). I think one of the old guys got cut when trying to apprehend a shoplifter recently. They normally just hire the old guys when they change companies, but in this case they offered such low wages that all the old guys said "no." Makes you feel really secure. The best security the mall has is that the public packs. But as I've indicated, if you don't pack, I feel no responsibility to protect you from a mad gunman. If you want to be saved, you need to pack too.
  15. I don't know. I always had pizza and beer. BTW, I once saw a Big Ed's T-shirt in China.
  16. Staying off topic.... Here's another one from Mr. Zevon that I like [ame] [/ame]I feel like this a lot. We now return you to the topic at hand.
  17. Oh yeah, the report said we were milling around in the parking lot. Actually we were milling around just outside one of the mall entrances on the sidewalk. We did notice that the firetrucks were stationed a few hundred yards away at Windy's and the other emergency vehicles were way out in the lot. Guess the emergency folks have to be careful and watch to see if the patrons die at the bomb site. And if you have to wait for violent death, you might as well enjoy a burger as you do it.
  18. If it was me, I'd use a real bomb.
  19. Well, damn. I planned to get down there tomorrow, but I have a meeting I can't get out of at 1:30 out at the airport. I was really hoping to meet more of y'all in person. I'll miss that Big Ed's pizza too. So I'm shifting to plan B. I intended to make it out to the Gray gun show on Sunday, but will shift that to tomorrow morning around 9:30. Anyone local that wants to meet me there can do so. I'll be the guy wearing the H&K Law Enforcement Division cap.
  20. I had a little time this morning, so dropped by the mall for coffee with some friends who are Korean and Vietnam War vets. About 9:50 folks came from one area of the mall and told us they were evacuating the place. Panic did not ensue, even if one reporter who came up wanted someone to say that it did. I was one of the "milling". We just moved the party outside. I think about half the people had handguns. Note to thieves and thugs - don't shoot or hold up the mall while the old farts are drinking coffee or walking their morning laps. http://www.tricities.com/tristate/tri/news.apx.-content-articles-TRI-2008-02-15-0018.html
  21. Why does that clip remind me of this? [ame] [/ame]
  22. That's pretty new. When I was at Jerry's he did a lot of talking about some European round that would penetrate a car windshield and then bounce around inside making the occupants unhappy.
  23. Remember when AG Reno suggested primers that would quit working a few years after manufacture? We are all going to end up carrying illegal bullets with out illegal guns before it is over.
  24. I hadn't see that video. Jerry Baber, who manufactures these things, is local. I shot one of these several years ago over at his place, that you see in the parts where he is firing. They are not without recoil, as Jerry claims, but they are low recoil. An impressive weapon looking for an application. A lot of fun to shoot. Jerry is also the guy behind the Thunder 5.
  25. FEMA couldn't do something like this. It was established by Jimmy Carter. He won a Nobel Peace Prize you know. All winners of that prize are good and knowledgeable people only looking out for the good of the world.
