  What do you mean regarding aftermarket parts?

The main common thread I see amongst all of these posts is...it seems to depend on who you are in regards to which is the cheapest. Allstate was stated as being the cheapest, but they were one of the more expensive ones for me. Geico was stated as being expensive, but they so far are the cheapest for me.

It'd be shaving my monthly payment from $105 to roughly $80, that's substantial!

Should I switch? Can that cause any problem switching back and forth to the cheapest quote? I've heard it is smart to shop and switch, it is isn't it? Will they sometimes at least try and keep you by price matching?

I've been with Nationwide for a while now. Time for renewal is next month, so I've been receiving some quotes. I've found that if I switch to Geico, I can supposedly save roughly $25 a month if I switch to them. The coverage amounts are the same for this quote. Should I do it? I am probably going to send an email to my Nationwide agent later with documentation showing the quote. Think they'll try and match it? Is Geico good insurance? I like the little gecko guy.

Today while performing routine maintenance on my carry piece, while handling the previously chambered round I thought back to this story. That made me conclude that if a spark did indeed set the round off, it must have ignited the powder first instead of the primer. Otherwise I think we'd also set off a lot of live rounds (blackpowder or smokeless) by igniting the primer.    Thoughts?

Who is hiring you, the general contractor or the foreman?

Very small yard, I don't believe size would be the issue here. Thought a lot about the length though, guess one would probably need to have a backup gas mower just in case it did get too tall. So it does take quite a bit longer?

Ever since my wife and I got married and started renting our current house, I've been using an old and abused gas push mower. It really needs replacing, it is just something I have been putting off because each time I mow it "gets the job done". Any input?

We'll...maybe. I am running iOS 7 Beta 6 so I doubt I will be jail breaking soon. I think I will give the 1200 plan a try for $29.95.

Well, I did discover a slight "bug" in my plan. $12 was going to cut it because I am willing to do without the data on the go. However, I discovered last night an issue within iMessage by which if I do not have a data connection, other peoples' iPhones default to trying to send the message through iMessage first. Then, after roughly five minutes, they default to sending it as SMS. I also feel that Apple's settings in the iPhone could be a bit more robust in terms of data. I can go through there and turn data usage off for most any app, but if a new app is installed it by default allows data usage. Also, the "system services" seems to always be activated. This is of course if cellular data is turned on (turn it off, and everything is killed). What I was wanting to do was essentially allow iMessage data usage and turn everything else off. I don't think the settings are robust enough to allow that.   Simply an inconvenience of a delayed text message by five minutes or so. I am considering either upgrading to the $29.95 plan that includes 500MB data, but I will also research Virgin Mobile:)

Well, that doesn't sound bad. One would have to purchase one of their phones (possibly from them, possibly any Sprint phone). I admit unlimited text and "throttled but unlimited" data sounds nice. However, That is roughly 2.5x what I could pay through PagePlus, and Verizon also has better coverage where I live.   Either are a great alternative to $80+ through any of the big names.

As many have read, I love Ting. However, Ting does not support iPhones currently (although they are supposedly in the works). Therefore, I did my research and found that PagePlus (Verizon MVNO) should do what I was hoping. In short, it did!   At face value, PagePlus does not support iPhones. If you call them, they will say that they cannot activate them on their network. However, if you find a PagePlus "dealer", they will do it for you. I don't know the skinny exactly, but I was told essentially that PagePlus cannot officially advertise that Verizon iPhones will work on their service because they could theoretically be sued. I don't know if that is true, but it is what I was told.   So now I have a "Verizon" iPhone 4s (thanks to a member here). It is currently working on PagePlus's service, and I am paying $12 a month for 250 minutes/250 texts/and 10MB data a month. I turned off cellular data. I will use iMessage (on WiFi) to do the majority of texting while on WiFi (most everyone I know has an iPhone). I can use Facetime or Skype for WiFi to WiFi calls, and found a service called Talkatone to call landlines for free (it integrates with Google Voice, giving you better iOS integration that the standard Google Voice app).   So, if I am on WiFi, I can call and text whomever as much as I'd like, and then use my pool of minutes/texts for when I'm out of WiFi. The main reason I picked up the phone was because I wanted to be able to use certain apps, have a quality pocket phone, and have something that would sync common things (contacts, mail, etc). I hate keeping two address systems (such as you would have to on a feature phone and also iCloud). Now of course it syncs whenever on WiFi. I'm going to give it a try at $12 a month for a while (these PIN's can be found for a bit less than $12 on Ebay and other sites. I may "upgrade"to $29.95 (1200 minutes/3000 texts/500MB data) at some point, but I am going to see how well I can go at $12 a month. If you go over your allotment, then you simply pay $.05 a message/text and $.10 per MB of data. So there would be a pretty decent amount of leeway financially between the $12 and $29.95 plans.    Unless something unexpected comes up, I am 100% satisfied. I did like Ting's customer service better (very easy to talk to on the phone or email). I will probably switch back to Ting, but PagePlus also uses Verizon's network so I do get better coverage. We'll see, and I'll keep you updated.

  Ha! My wife and I shop at Goodwill a lot to see what we can find. The other day I found a whole box of LaserDisks. I almost bought them simply because most people don't even know what they are. I decided not to, but they are a neat piece of history.

For anyone that may have had reservations about LAPG or the pants I purchased, be concerned no more!   I sent a very simple and polite email this morning to LAPG regarding the above mentioned issues. I was not requesting anything but rather informing them that I had an issue, and that perhaps their quality control be considered. I told them I was very satisfied still and loved the paints, and at $20 I did not mind a little tailoring myself.   Received an email within an hour offering replacement for the above mentioned 3 pairs, and just now I recieved an "order confirmation" totaling $0. They just hooked me line and sinker as a customer for a very, very long time. I just wish they were located somewhere other than California, and although the pants are nice, I do wish they were USA made. They wouldn't be $20 then though.

Ok, been wearing these LAPG Operators for a few days now. I'll say, they are quite comfortable. Monday I found room to mow in between rain. It was very humid and I'll sweat on a snowy day. Thus, the paints were drenched by the time I finished. The difference was that when I normally wear jeans while working, the jeans soak up the sweat and get heavier and stick to you. These LAPG Operators (as well as any pants made of similar material of course), even though they were soaked they didn't quite stick to me like jeans do when soaked with sweat. This made them very much more comfortable than the jeans while working.   Beginning to love the placements of all the pockets. However, I'll say two things that have slightly disappointing me. Within 2 hours of wearing my black pair, the main button nearly tore off. Now, the thread is still holding the button on, but it is literally there by a thread. It will be a quick fix, but disappointing for 2 hour long paints. Yesterday I noticed the navy pair's button was loose so I was extremely careful with it.   Today I put the "sierra" colored ones. Button seems ok on them but I noticed they are longer than the others. I can wear the others without shoes or boots and the length is just right. These the legs go a bit below my heel and gets very annoying without shoes on.   Overall I am still very satisfied. They are, after all, $20 pants. I don't mind tailoring a thing or two, but it would have also been nice for them to have went several weeks/months without needing any modification.   I will also say that I am quite a fan of the elastic waistband. It keeps them looking neat regardless of whether I have a holster on. Inelastic pants generally bunch up if they fit with a holster but you aren't wearing one.
