  1. I agree many of the auditors are jerks, my question why do so many of the cops play along. Enforce the law, that's it. Demanding this or demanding that may work with most people that do not know their rights but hoping that the people your dealing with do not know the law is not good policing. Here is one I see all the time. Cop pulls someone over for a traffic violation. Demands ID from everyone in the car. They refuse to do so and the cop in one case arrested the passenger for failure to ID. Case was later dropped. Lawsuit ensued. I think there should be limits to the cops qualified immunity. Also cops should not be allowed to lie and tell people something is a law that is not.
  2. I know there ae a lot of good cops but I also know there are many that should not be cops at all. My FB feed has these videos of people that call themselves 1st Amendment auditors. They have cameras and go around seeing what reaction they get from public officials. Many times the police are called because someone working in the post office does not like to be videoed. Almost every time LO comes and demand ID. They are told by the auditors that it is not a stop and ID state but the cops generally lie or do not know and claim that they must ID. Most of the time the cops are wrong. Sometimes the auditors detained or even arrested. What it shows is the cops are really head strong and arrogant. Many times the cops admit they the auditors are not breaking the law they just do not like what they are doing. Many place have been forced to pay fines because these cops illegally detain or arrest people. Some of these cops are experienced and should know better but they let their ego get in the way.
  3. I love my VP 9sk. I found another one and bought it as well.

    Weight Loss

I am 61, 6'2 200. I wear a 32 waist pant. Dr. Mercola says intermitting fasting and hiit training the pounds will go. I have been doing the fasting for years and will never go back. Nothing before 11am nothing after 7pm. I tend to eat a light lunch and a medium dinner. It took about 6 mths to get used to not eating until 11am, now no big deal. Personal trainers have told me 80% of the way we look is diet. I also consume very few carbs. Carbs turn to sugar that turn to fat. Do not eat anything white. I am also at the gym 4 to 5 times a week even if its just do something. I have been prediabetic for 12 years and have been able to stay of meds. Never been in a gym until about 12 years ago when the doc said I had 2 choices diet and exercise or meds. I have two arthritic shoulders that cause me a lot of pain but push through it. Light weights lots of reps. Let the young studs move the heavy stuff.
  5. It seems the game that is played with charging someone is very unfair. Many times one is charged with way more than the prosecution knows is reasonable because they also know it will be reduced in a deal. So a murder charge may be reduced to manslaughter. The problem is the defendant is on the TV news, in the newspaper and all over the internet being charged with murder. A lot of people read the charges and assume he is guilty. Most of the time the deal is not news or even worse if the charges were dropped all together and the guy is still know as a murderer. I remember a case in the Tri Cities several years ago, There was a park that men would meet at called the man cave. The cops set up surveillance and arrested 19 men. Front page of the newspaper was 19 pictures of names and addresses of each man. There was never a story about the ones that had the charges dropped or what happened to each person. Now I am not a fan of that lifestyle but their wife's and kids had done nothing wrong and some of the men did not either but I bet most that read that story believed they had. The last I heard 98 % of court cases never go to court. Deals are cut, sometimes deals are cut not because someone is guilty they just cannot afford to keep fighting and the years of strain it puts on the families.
  6. I am reminded of a lesson I learned years ago. If you need to vent type it out let it marinate over night then delete it. Really saves one from looking like a horses backside. Has saved me many times.
  7. I am only willing to shoot someone if I am willing to die for the same reason. You can have whatever I own. I have nothing that I have bought or been given to me that I value more than a life. If I ever pull the trigger it will because I have no other choice to protect my kids or my wife. I would give my life for them, I will take a life for them. The gray area would be if you do not know the intentions of the ones breaking into your house in the middle of the night, it seems reasonable for safety's sake to take for granted they have bad intentions until you know for certain they do not. How to determine that is less clear.
  8. I have been to small claims many times, I did have signed contracts that helped. Never had a problem never lost a case.
  9. Most judges will rule on your side as the consumer. I see it all the time.
  10. Pretty sure the guy did not think the shooter would actually fire. That's the only thing that I can come up with. I agree it would be tough to argue he felt his life was threatened until the guy said he would take it from him and kill him with is. I think the shooter thought that bringing the gun out would run the guy off. I have never thought thinking someone will not use their firearm or that pulling it to scare someone was wise.
  11. Thank GOD my kids have out grown that place. I did not carry there but them going through our bags did not sit well with me. My biggest problem with the place was the crowds. We would go in about the the last 2 or 3 hours they were open when most people were leaving and get on the rides a lot faster. Waiting 2 hrs to get on a ride is not my thing. I know this is minor but we had bought the large DW cups because of the discount on the refills. A few years ago they started charging more if you cup was more than 3 or 4 years old. I contacted then and ask them why I had to pay more because my cup was older they started explaining to me the cost of doing business. I ask them if they could tell me why it cost them more to refill my old cup than to refill a new cup I would gladly pay the extra. I am pretty sure your not allowed to take bottled water in as well now, I think that has more to do with looking through bags that weapons.
  12. Also the two shots dropped the guy like a rock. Must have hit the spinal cord. It did not look like a head shot to me.
  13. On one hand the homeowner introduced the firearm in a situation I do not think it was not warranted. On the other hand the loud mouth then advanced and threatened to take it from him and use it on him. The law may be with the homeowner in that the mouth refused to leave when told to but not sure I could justify deadly force there. On another note the mouths wife seemed very calm for just seeing her husband shot.
  14. I cut meat at a old fashioned meat shop for 7 years, was in chain store retail as cutter and manager also was a meat specialist for a large wholesale company for 7 years. I have been out west to the feeder lots and processing plants. The neg of buying whole or half steers is the 1. The amount of waste, a lot of bone and fat. 2. A lot of ground beef. I like mine 80/20 and most places do not defat as much as I would like. 3. I like steaks primarily, most of what one gets in a steer is roast and ground beef. I have seen meat shops take some steaks out during the processing to keep for themselves so make sure you dealing with a reputable butcher. When i did them we would weigh the whole thing, cut and wrap it all keep the waste and reweigh it for the customer so they would know we gave it all to them.

  16. https://www.cnbc.com/2021/11/10/consumer-price-index-october.html Anyone still think this no big deal?
  17. The media is going to portray gun owners as bad no matter what. I certainly not going to change how I carry because I am concerned about the media. If he was targeted because he was open carrying then others should be able to learn if you attack someone open carrying you have a good chance of dyeing.
  18. Oh come on. There is no way to know that he was targeted because he was open carrying. There were plenty of other guys open carrying that were not targets. I think this guy looked young was by his self at the moment he was attacked by someone that had told him he was going to kill him if he was found alone. I know you guys are against open carrying but that is a reach.
  19. I have owned and operated a business to business barter exchange since 2003. Better Barter INC.
  20. From what I have read on the web, so it has to be true, even when using blanks guns are not to be pointed at people or equipment. They normally have a dummy to point at so that everyone knows where the actor will be pointing. This seems to make sense so the cameras can be set up and they get the shot they are looking for,( pun intended). If I am pulling the trigger I will make dang sure what is going to be coming out the barrel regardless who hands me the firearm. If my finger is on the trigger its on me.
  21. I am pro good cop as well, it does seem there are less of them than I thought. Seem like cops lying and taking advantage of people that do not know the law is being seen more and more now that everyone has cameras.
  22. I guess the way I read it was the bounty hunter had used his vehicle to block the guy in, It seems to me the BH was at his vehicle when the guy pulled up. The BH pulled his firearm and the guy hit reverse to get away thats when he was shot. That was what I got from the story. It does say the guy may have tried to hit the BH. I guess if he pulled up to the blocked gate or was it another exit gate that was just locked. The bounty hunter had found the man driving in the apartment complex’s parking lot and he blocked in the vehicle as it pulled up to a locked exit gate, the sheriff said. The bounty hunter got out of his car, pointed a gun at the wanted man, and fired into the vehicle as it drove in reverse, according to Gonzalez.
  23. Seems to me the guy driving in reverse trying to get away would be questionable use of deadly force.
