  6. Hey all. So tennessee has dry counties. what does that actualy mean? are sales just restricted or is possesion ilegal too? Im not one to drink at restaurants or bars, but like a few drinks at home. can i be arrested or fined for bringing a bottle of whiskey into my home if its a dry county? I know alot of this info can be found on websites but its easier to understand coming from a real person. Thanks for any answers.

    AR-15 value???

I would just think of it as two seperate parts. upper and lower. then assess value as what ever i could sell them for .
  8. are you going to mount optics? sights? does it have a free float tube? congrats
  9. Hey guys, Im new here and just wanted to share some pics of my latest build. The lower is a Tactical innovations with DPMS internals and brownells buffer tube kit. real simple. The upper is an armalite C.O.P. I won the upper in a raffle a couple years ago. with money being tight and just wanting to finish the rifle i went cheap and used a Surpluss ammo and arms , non chrome lined barrel. Thru SAA the barrel, low pro gas block and gas tube were only $142 shipped. The BCG are DPMS and I went with a vortex fhlash hider and YHM flip up sights. So far im pretty happy with it. put about 100 rounds thru it, just plinking. No hiccups. Its probably gonna just sit in the safe.
  10. thanks for the answers. me no understand legal talk but i guess just keep loaded mags seperate from firearm. in mt you can get pulled over with a chambered ak next to you, the cop just wants tell you what his favorite aks varient is. one more quik question where is the best place to post non firearm related questions about life in tennessee?
  11. So if no handgun carry permit rifle must be unloaded. Can a loaded mag be right next to it? I plan on getting a mt concealed carry permit before leaving.
  12. Hope this is an ok place for this thread. what are the rules on carrying rifles in your vehicle? can they be carried loaded within reach? Im currently living in mt and whats ok here might not be ok there. Just trying to get an idea of what to expect in tennessee. my wife and i will be relocating this spring. thanks.
