  1. What will the pistol be used for? whats the budget? does it have to be new, or is used ok?
  2. wow  it sounded to me like they were full of it.  i shoot there pretty often its realy close to my house. I was there today shooting my >26" firearm and am planning on shooting there on thursday too. If any of you guys ever see me  there say hi    Ill have a >26" Ar
  3. Ok, so i hate to bring the whole wrist brace thing up again , but on saturday i was shooting at vrpc and got to talking to one of the range officers about the sig wrist brace. he was quick to tell me that once it is shoulderd it becomes a sbr and you cant shoot those here.He also seemed to be under the imprassion that when you buy a firearm (non nfa) in tn that the paper you fill out is registyering it to you. so when he said that i just took everything else he said with a grain of salt. But as i was leaving i asked the guy in the office about it and he said as far as twra and the state of tn is concerned, shouldering a wrist brace turns it into a sbr . so what the heck? Does tn have a different opinion than the atf? and who in tn can make these decisions?
  4. If you have a hardware store close by they might let you use one (A vise) in their back room. I built a whole upper in the back room of a ACE hardware.
  5. Yeah i figured someone out here has tried to make it fit. a few of my friends have sugested the KaK tube. I guess that will be the plan   Thanks all
  6. Oh yeah  moddifying the brace itself is probably the problem i guess this realy isnt worth finding out exactly where the line is
  7. would it be possible at all to get a sig wrist brace to fit over a carbine buffer tube? The lower was originaly purchased as "other" and built as a 7.5'' pistol, At the time seemed kinda useless so converted it to a carbine. well i finaly broke down and orderd a pistol upper from PSA (12" with BCG and CH included) and just realy dont want to go thru the effort or cost of putting a pistoll buffer tube on it. So is it possible at all to modify the brace to fit on the carbine buffer tube? or am i just being too lazy?
  8. Dont mean to change the subject, but i remember an ad in guns and ammo magazine, must have been around 1990 for a EAA import 12g pump with a box mag.
  9. welcome to TN. I was in NY the day the "safe act " passed :puke: The guys here are the best resource ive found for info ( new to the the state as well)
  10. Hey every body, I was just wondering if anyone here has had any experiences with" southern shades kennels" in corryton . The owner is Greg Jones and he is a breeder of golden retrievers, american and english. We just recently picked up our puppy ( our second golden) and now we find out that he is being shut down.   Also is there any other members on here with goldens? we got our first golden (Emily) one year ago.
  11. I had no idea how bad i needed a saiga

  14. I was just at the chilhowee show and heard people talking about this.  Its definatly a step in the right direction.
  15. Does the thin sliced raw Kobe beef count as Sushi? That stuff looks awesome. plain or covered in A1 :yum:
  16. Ugh. we just bought a house and were all excited to find a patch of wild raspberrie plants out back. Not having a lawn mower yet i paid a neighbors friend to do the lawn for us. He leveled every one of them  :stick: They are already starting to come back but no fruit this year
  17. It is a pretty deep scratch, actually more of a gouge. Ive been thinking of buying something shiny for a while and thought this might be a good excuse to get some bling.   But what do you guys think of doing a mirror pollish to a Glock slide and barrel.  It looks cool. but just for the cool factor would it be better to just buy some used llamma or Star. Ive seen a guy at the Knoxville gun shows selling a Star 9mm with a pollished slide. Hes been to all the shows ive been to, you probably have seen the pistol im talking about.
  18. I was just on armslist and seen an ad from a guy in chattanooga, that does mirror pollishing. It got me thinking. I have a Kimber classic stainless that i picked up a few years ago. The guy I bought it from used it for competition did a bunch of upgrades He sold it to me with all orriginal parts and 13 bumper mags. I used it in matches for a few seasons, He sold it to me cheap , It has had ALOT of ROUNDS through it. It also has a pretty bad and deep scratch down the left side of the slide. Can pollishing cover up or remove the scratch? How much would it cost?, To do the slide and frame? Its not a carry gun. Hopefully someday ill have time to get into some competitions, till then it just sits there. Ive always wanted a nice shinny 1911, (Pulp fiction chrome 9mm)( Llamma?) or should i just buy an old llamma?
  19. I guess ill be the first to say GLOCK.  For me the fit and feel in my hand is perfect. compact and sub , the full size is to much. And realy i just trust the two glocks i own. for me that is the most important thing.
  20. Glock 42.   Yea it should have been a 9mm but  alot of BUGs are .380 and the 42 is big enough to be comfortable in the hand.
  21. thanks   I hope it will be open. i got an already dirty rifle and some tulammo to use up if any tgowers are there  ill be the one with a few ar's and a pile of of steel cases next to me. say hi
