  1. They had a variety of ammo but not what we're used to seeing as usual 30-06 and 270 is still king
  2. Was in Shooters GS in Nashville today, they had a boatload of 223/556 and 22 f black rifles from sig to dpms to bushmaster, most black rifles I've seen for sale in a long time at normal prices in 6 months. Shooters is on Murfreesboro rd next to Gun City in Nashville. Folks in there are nice and friendly.Small shop, good prices.
  3. i remember when one would hear a stern voice on tv or radio announcing: special report and it usually dealt with something like a president getting impeached,a rocket attack, natural disaster etc.....the stuff that really did make headlines. !0 years ago if u asked what a kardashian was, someone would reply that its a type of snot rag or a food store.Kids today cant name one person who signed the dec of independence or the constitution, but they know where to find her sex tape, how much she weighs, the name of her poor dog ad nauseum..cable............
  4. I was reading through the NRA site today and happened to notice that it took all of feinsteins staff a year to come up with their trash they call legislation or a bill... I mean a year...it took us over 10 years  to find a 6 foot thug that ultimately caused a lot of carnage and war but she and her staff figured out how to eradicate "assault weapons" with a plan that took 1 whole  year to devise... that she thinks, will last forever.you would think her bill has more print in it than tolstoys war and peace.   "you cant fix stupid".............
  5. priceless, thanks guys, when im having a bad day i read this thread and realize that laughter over dealing with nothing like a reality show turds relieves stress. I guess now i can start the get the kardashians off of paid programming  campaign....<efg>...
  6. yeah but kardashian comments are great for laughter!
  7. I went last year, the flea market stereotype fits well,it reminded me of an old forum quote: "Bloomberg is crazy,i went to that gunshow, lots of bonehandled knives, nazi junk, rusty shotgun barrells with the smell of BO and asscrack looming between the tables. What loophole ?..."
  8. goog one mike lol, Im in for 2 if someone can keep the evil out of it,fwiw might be nice to get a LGS involved for the deal/transfers.This way they're all in one place, and they can be paid for, BC'd and received on site if needed.just a thought
  9. This is of the upmost importance. It shows we care about health issues and not just ammo shortages and such: all opinions welcome! :ugh:
  10. Too bad it wasn't Diane crapsteins son that nailed the two turds!!!
  11. ADT sucks.overpriced, junk equipment, truly a last resort. If you're in TN you can get monitored by NCA for 10 bucks a month for landline or 20 a month if you use cellular backup.   Equipment wise there's a lot of new stuff available with great features for gunowners/safeowners. Honeywell has a lynx 5100 system that has everything built into 1 box, runs wireless sensors w anti jamming capability and you can add sensors to items that if they leave a predefined area you can be notified.you can even add a sensor to your safe, shed etc so if the door is opened you'll get notification every time its opened or closed. The monitoring company can even dial in to the system and listen in for hostage scenarios, and burglaries as well.Very cool affordable stuff. Having a supervised line is good to have as there's always a records of what happened at what time.you pay more for it but its a valuable feature.   Honeywell,Bosch, and DSP make some good gear. NCA and Monitronics, are 2 good service providers.Read your contract.most are self renewing every 3 years and require an act of congress to get out of.   Knowing someone in the business can save some money as hypothetically, you can have someone install/upgrade your gear and then choose your monitoring without getting raped for the system...   A safe is great to have if you can afford something that's decent and installed properly, its even better at keeping someone who may know your home, out of your stuff,as well as slowing down or stopping a turds ability to grab your goods and run.   If you own something, or things, that have significant value, a security system and safe are great insurance. If you've ever been a robbery victim or saw a home that was burglarized, youll understand pretty quick. If you have second thoughts, think about your weapons being used to possibly kill someone within a year, and your home looking like something you saw in new orleans, after katrina hit......
  12. 10 100 round boxes left 43 bucks a pop, 10 left as of 3 pm yesterday plenty of 7 mm ,270 and 30-06 as usual
  13. Ive got a good friend who is into bit coin, very complicated, took a while to fully comprehend it, but, its in use,and runs a fine line on the legal/illegal side. The computers used in bit coin are fascinating.....I dont think it will go away, people are using it for goods and services.Nothing is hacker safe, but i agree w trip digit. Its not for the timid
  14. I remember when my daughters room looked like page 141 except it was all hannah montana and zack and cody swag LOL too bad someone cant take the collection on and museum it or something close so it doesn't all disappear.Mr Wray put a lot of heart and soul into it...
  15. if Hickory Hollow Mall was still open he would have a new home, twas the way it was getting to before it closed...
  16. very bad incident,of course the media didn't embrace this because no one fought back.My condolences to the mom but im wondering why the shooter is still alive.....interestingly FLETC in glynco isnt far from brunswick, not sure about the initiation though....
  17. Thats crazy, driver never slowed down lotsa momentum damn, the sad thing is most folks that get into a hi speed chase are usually fleeing for a 50 dollar something...the worse of the evils usually take a little longer....
  18. you can try clear wireless,50 a month, youll have unlimited net,get a roku box and youll have plenty of movies w netflix for 8.00 per mo, plus pay as ya go w amazon etc. 58 a month is about all TV is worth these days.........at least this way you get hi speed net cheap...
  19. If ya really dont want em back, throw a 1 foot wide,8 foot long strip of 1/2 plywood down with a bed of nails through it on your side of the driveway. 2 flats at once will surely keep em away.just remember its there! but i would def call the po po so they know its an ongoing problem.just be advised, its best to have a tag,and advise they are doing more than just turning around,U turns dont justify use of deadly force,or use of 911 ;) remember the guy in Alabama was pissed about the bus driver doing u turns,u dont wanna be stereotyped or profiled as a u turn hater ... all fun aside the HF plan sounds logical to let em know they cant stay
  20. Haha no worries here the tgo 2 inch non locking FAA approved knives should be ready soon .....
  21. If possible,Get the tag, call the pd or emergency number and report it as a suspicious vehicle. The pd now have PC to stop and inquire.approaching with a weapon drawn, using lasers etc is provoking an assault. Making your presence known and asking if u can provide assistance may answer your question. Just because someone pulls into your drive at the end doesn't establish anything. Typically 15 feet off of the edge of the asphalt is still considered easement and or public domain. Without arguing about curtilage and borders err on the side of caution, but I wouldn't wear out emergency svcs just because a car comes around in what one may percieve to be a suspicious manner....
  22. Fwiw the TGO mobile app works great at 37 k feet at a rate of 395 mph Thanks David
  23. all understood, i had read where the suggestion for use was distilled water,a little bit of simple green and or a small amount of white vinegar.. all makes sense BUT...   no one mentioned what portion size/how much or percentage of each item should be measured and used ( no martha stewart jokes please) I know about eds red, cool stuff, thanks for the link, am fishing for a good balanced combination to use for cleaning pistols and parts on a regular basis that wont turn a gun into a bare ingot...thanks!!
  24. Considering the age of the Glocks, and me speculating,it might just be a matter of using existing funds versus losing the funds which would then go to say fertilizing a flower patch near the city landfill instead of going to firearms and training.   On another note surely the sale will have to go to bid no????anything over 2500.00 (or 2200) should be...
