  1. That's what I'm worried about too at this point. The rear sensor can move back and forth a little bit now. The nice thing about Chrony is you can order just the case with the sensors from them as long as you haven't shot the brain.
  2. I actually shot all the zip ties off the back the second time!
  3. Well mine's now on number 3. Miraculously, it still works. I just have to use it on cloudy days now. The rear sensor was shot with my SR45. Today the G17 just made sure to finish of that back panel. I think I was a little too worried about how close to the sensors I could get. Maybe next time I'll shoot a little higher. Be leery of a Chrony I ever have for sale in the Classifieds.
  4. I'll be glad to help you get it broke in. Just send it my way.    Very Nice.
  5. If you hold out, you might find the ever elusive 777 round parallelogram.
  6. I hate for people to lose their jobs, but good for them. I hope all the companies in Connecticut do the same thing. Hopefully the workers can relocate, but I'm sure there would be no shortage of willing applicants wherever they landed.
  7. Do you guys allow spectators? Never been to a match . Would like to see how they work.
  8. It's pretty sad when I can shoot my reloaded 9mm cheaper than buying 22.
  9. Are you sure you're not turning around and reselling those on some dog website for a profit?  ;)
  10. That was a very enlightening video. I had no idea they were that tough.
  11. I was thinking that had to be a light bullet to travel that fast and it is. 50g! It is like it's just a flying piece of shrapnel.
  12. I do like the locking rings on the Hornadys. I think for single stage purposes, each set works just fine. I do like that the Hornady set comes with a flat and curved bullet seating pin. On the other hand, Lee sets come with shell holders and my Hornady didn't.   6.8 AR hit the nail on the head in my situation. I need Lee dies for a Lee press.
  13. Don't leave without getting some 22!   http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/AMM-0552
  14. Did it go bang at all? If the primer fired, but no powder burn, the bullet may be lodged. It looks like that you had a headspace problem and the case didn't seat all the way or the case diameter was too large at some point. A headspace gauge like one from Lyman is a big help for checking rounds. If you have calipers, make sure the diameter of the brass is no larger than .380" at the mouth of the brass.   I was also shooting some reloads out of my 17 yesterday and a little bit of junk got in the chamber and was making my rounds fit a little snug.   I haven't ever used Bullseye before, but isn't that a little hot for a lead bullet?
  15. If you guys would rather have 22lr shipped than go all the way to Benton, CTD has Armscor bricks for $149.   http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/AMM-0552   That's only .30 a round!
  16. Apparently the picture credit says March 23, but this is the first I've seen of it.    http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-dog-kills-sea-lion-20130325,0,350671.story?track=rss.
  17. I went single stage for my first press and I'm very glad I did. I can QC each step and I feel a lot more comfortable with it. I bought a Chrony too to make sure that my loads aren't pressing the limit.  My main concern was double drops on powders and with a single stage and look at a tray of 50 at a time and make sure all is well. I will get a L&L someday.
  18. I've been shooting my lead loads through my Glock stock barrel without any problems so far. Mind you, I don't shoot more than 100 in an outing. I also put one FMJ in the mag first to chase the lead rounds. I actually recovered one of the FMJ out of my backstop and you could see some lead stripes on it but nothing bad.
  19. Just got one too. Surprised it lasted more than an hour. That's one good thing about limits.
  20. Not to highjack a S&W thread, but my Ruger SR45 that was born on Feb 20 has had some issues that I haven't heard of some of the first one's had. The factory folks are just humans and can burned out on OT fast no matter what the pay. I've talked to Ruger and they e-mailed me a next-day shipping label immediately. I'm sure Smith will take care of your buddy's gun too. I imagine mine will be like new when it comes back.
  21. Call Reloader's Bench first. I went in on Friday and I didn't see any 9mm but I wasn't specifically looking for them so they may have been stashed elsewhere.
  22. See a gang of about 40 regularly on Greenbrier road. By the sounds of gunfire out my ways on the weekend, I imagine that number will go down very soon.
  23. Yep, looks like nothing but the primer went off. I'm surprised the powder sludge stayed in the case.
