I was having a bad day when I stumbled on to this... Entertaining, educational, and made me smile.

OK, looks like I need to make the call. I was printed on July 25th. Granted I'm currently overseas, but what-the-hell. I have nothing to lose. It would be nice to have when I arrive back in TN. Whats that number again, 615- XXX-XXXX?

Sounds like a possible contender for next years Darwin awards. He just needs to "unknowingly" ride off a cliff or into the back of a fully loaded fuel truck with a lit cigerette.

They stopped making the one MRE that I loved: Meatballs & rice w/spicy tom (thats what the box said) sauce. Not sure who "tom" is, but he dun good. That was back in the early 90's. Now I try to stick to the chicken breast or the spaghetti. Kinda hard to screw up a piece of chicken. They did score big with the jalapeno cheese spread!!

Its a kit. That progress has taken me 15 months to build. I suspect another 18-24 months when I finally return stateside. I have been slowly buying all the remaining parts & supplies. Its a labor of love.

I enjoy building and flying RC planes. My latest project, a 1/12th scale AC-130U Spectre gunship, has been placed on indefinate hold until I return.

Adult beverage of choice tonight? Hell, I would settle for anything cold, but that goes against the "camp rules". The best I can get here is non-alcoholic Becks beer. I would invite all of you to drink one or ten for me on any given night.

OK, I'm putting myself on restriction. Everytime I start reading these posts, I become hungry as hell!! I always compare my meals "over here" to Vegas; you never know if you will be lucky and get a good meal. I probably have better odds in Vegas. I wonder why the occasional hamburger doesnt taste quite right. Is there such thing as black angus camel?

Not sure how I stumbled into this forum, but all this talk of wings is making me hungry and homesick!!! Its not like I see this kind of food over here. I know this place well, I have nearly burst into flames on several occasions at this establishment. Highly recommend!

This is a great holster. I have it mounted to the front of my body armor vest. It's very adaptable and easy to draw your weapon.

DMark, They are "department" Hueys but I'm not sure I met Bruce. He may be at our other location. It's a great job, but I'm not looking forward to hanging out behind my gun this winter. There isnt many places to hide from the wind in the cabin of a Huey with the doors open/off.

Ohshoot, Without changing the topic of this forum or mentioning any names....Depending on Americas choice this November, we might need to stock up on guns and reloading equipment. I am truly fearful of the mindless following of the people of this great nation. I'm simply looking forward to carrying when I return on my next leave. I look at it as piece of mind.

I'm just home on leave. My waiting period will cover the time I will be gone until my next leave (every 90days). I may have to wait, but I won't be around to be constantly searching my mailbox. Until HCP comes through, I'll have to settle for my work issued Beretta 9mm, Bushmaster Carbine, and my M-134 minigun.

Just finished up my paperwork and prints......LET THE WAITING BEGIN!!!

I prefer the look of the rubber grip. The wood doesn't look good at all. Its too small, IMO.

Well, I would disavow any relationship to Reef, but he did show me this site. So, he can't be that bad. Anyway, thanks for the welcome guys. I'll be on here from time to time, when my internet service is operational over here. It's a sweet gig over here: flying, shooting, and working out. Granted the location is less than desirable, but the "little" paycheck makes up for it. I'm looking forward to coming home this summer and finally getting my HCP. For some reason, my timing has never been right to get this accomplished. You guys keep the beer cold and I'll keep the peace at 3000rds/min! Mike

I'm looking to attend my Carry class when I return from Afghanistan on break in July. I come home approximately every 90-100 days. Its good to see I can attend the class, submit my paperwork and have the permit when I return for my next break. I won't have to wait around, stalking the mailman. Mike
