    Perfect Gift!

I'm simply torn between feelings of insanity (going postal) and finding a nice bunker to hide in. For several years, I have been toying with the idea of purchasing a unique property. Now I might actually commit: http://www.missilebases.com/.
  2. I am unable to answer on the grounds that the question deals with an issue that my state considers a NON-ISSUE. If you wish to verify my firearm registration, please contact the great state of Tennessee and ask for Heywood Jabloemee. He would be happy to assist.
  3. The nice thing about this country is I am permitted to have an opinion. Black, white, hispanic, who gives a F#ck?? We are a single nation. my point was simply to say we are all Americans. People can retain there heritage and traditions, but when you feel or express points that want to place your ethinic group ahead of others, you can take that crap shove it. We as a country are strenthened by diversity. I recognize small elements will make ridiculous statements and persecute other ethnic groups. If people feel a need to excessively promote or gain advantage simply with a ethnic gripe, feel free to export yourself from our beloved country. Sling, I know how this country works. I recognize your right to voice your opinion. I have defended this right for many years. BUT, regardless of how business is currently conducted, it does not make it right. Does Obama's accomplishment mean Affirmative Action will be eliminated? (Doubt it) Will the people's choice solve all the current issues? (unlikely) My statement about moving out of the country was a statement that I know NO ONE would do. People like this country, but prefer to bitch rather than do anything. With this mentality, I can see BHO trying to employ his solicist agenda.
  4. I think I would be willing to volunteer our new Prez.
  5. I find this whole arguement amusing. We talk of white and black. Sorry for all you darker skinned folk, but you were not the most discriminated against. I would ask all darker skinned folk to step aside for the native americans. These people were more persecuted throughout the years. They are still living on reservations. They have been given many breaks over the years, but still haven't achieved as much as the blacks. IMO, they have faced more and received less. Amazing how we can look past this to put more emphisis on slaves and current blacks, when they suffered unimaginable torment throughout the years. As for the African-American or Hispanic American, I throw my BS flag. As someone mentioned earlier, we are all AMERICAN. If you feel the need to isolate or segregate your ethnic group, do us all a favor and PLEASE MOVE!!!
  6. Let him try that "preserving the wilderness" crap. In 4 years, the Dems will lose more seats than the election after the AWB was enacted. If they can't see that it's time to start exploiting more of our own resouces, they will pay dearly.
  7. Guilty as charged!! Department of Homeland Security not DOD????
  8. Yep its a flawed process. I say eliminate any organizations such as ACORN. If you feel its important to vote, get your ass registered and show up on election day. I don't see why my tax dollars should go to some partisan group that encourages people to register and vote. Disenfranchised? My ass!! Do your civic duty or quit complaining. Remarks complete.
  9. I sold mine to a Mexican named Hector.
  10. Dangerous- NO. Concerned- Possibly American envoking constitutional rights- Absolutely!
  11. I am considering options to be able to swap upper on my AR. AR's are good to 200-300m, but if I switch out to the 6.8mm I could stretch that reach to 800 to 1000m. This round still has tremendous power at that distance. You are correct in stating that round is not readily available. I plan on reloading all rounds that I shoot. With the ability to simply switch uppers, I eliminate the need to purchase another weapon, in this case a long gun. At this point I am just considering this. IMO If I can find a quick change upper for my 223 AR, then that will be better than buying another weapon.
  12. Aside from DPMS, who else makes an AR upper in 6.8mm?
  13. Gun Enthusiasts Stock Up on Firearms Over Fears of Dem Crackdown Gun owners worry a Democrat-controlled White House and Congress will lead to stricter gun laws. AP Friday, November 07, 2008 http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/11/07/gun-enthusiasts-stock-firearms-fears-dem-crackdown/ <FORM name=FoxNewsStory_AddRatingForm onsubmit="rateItOnSubmitHandler(this); return false" action="" method=post>MIDLOTHIAN, Va. -- When 10-year-old Austin Smith heard Barack Obama had been elected president, he had one question: Does this mean I won't get a new gun for Christmas? </FORM> That brought his mother, the camouflage-clad Rachel Smith, to Bob Moates Sports Shop on Thursday, where she was picking out that special 20-gauge shotgun -- one of at least five weapons she plans to buy before Obama takes office in January. Like Smith, gun enthusiasts nationwide are stocking up on firearms out of fears that the combination of an Obama administration and a Democrat-dominated Congress will result in tough new gun laws. "I think they're going to really try to crack down on guns and make it harder for people to try to purchase them," said Smith, 32, who taught all five of her children -- ages 4 to 10 -- to shoot because the family relies on game for food. Last month, as an Obama win looked increasingly inevitable, there were more than 108,000 more background checks for gun purchases than in October 2007, a 15 percent increase. And they were up about 8 percent for the year as of Oct. 26, according to the FBI. No data was available for gun purchases this week, but gun shops from suburban Virginia to the Rockies report record sales since Tuesday's election. "They're scared to death of losing their rights," said David Hancock, manager of Bob Moates, where sales have nearly doubled in the past week and are up 15 percent for the year. On Election Day, salespeople were called in on their day off because of the crowd. Obama has said he respects Americans' Second Amendment right to bear arms, but that he favors "common sense" gun laws. Gun rights advocates interpret that as meaning he'll at least enact curbs on ownership of assault and concealed weapons. As a U.S. Senator, Obama voted to leave gun-makers and dealers open to lawsuits; and as an Illinois state legislator, he supported a ban on semiautomatic weapons and tighter restrictions on all firearms. During an October appearance in Ohio, Obama sought to reassure gun owners. "I will not take your shotgun away," he said. "I will not take your rifle away. I won't take your handgun away." Gun advocates take some solace in the current makeup of the U.S. Supreme Court, which ruled 5-4 this summer to strike down the District of Columbia's 32-year ban on handguns. For now, gun rights supporters hold a narrow edge on the court, but Obama could appoint justices who would swing it the other way. Franklin Gun Shop outside Nashville, Tenn., sold more than 70 guns on Tuesday, making it the biggest sales day since the shop opened eight years ago. Guns & Gear in Cheyenne, Wyo., also set a one-day sales record on Tuesday, only to break that mark on Wednesday. Stewart Wallin, owner of Get Some Guns in the Salt Lake City suburb of Murray, Utah, said he sold nine assault weapons the day after Obama was elected. That same day, the gun store Cheaper Than Dirt! in Fort Worth, Texas, sold $101,000 worth of merchandise, shattering its single-day sales record, store owner DeWayne Irwin said. One Georgia gun shop advertised an "Obama sale" on an outdoor sign, but the owner took it down after people complained that the shop appeared to be issuing a call to violence against the country's first black leader. The president of a Montana gun manufacturer stepped down last month after word that he supported Obama led to calls for a boycott of the company. While Wayne LaPierre, executive vice president of the National Rifle Association, attributes some of the sales boom to the tanking economy, he thinks the Democratic sweep is the top reason why guns are suddenly a hot commodity. "I don't think he'll be able to stand up to that anti-Second Amendment wing of the Democratic party that's just been spoiling for chance to ban America's guns," LaPierre said of Obama. During the campaign, the NRA warned that Obama would be the "most antigun president in American history." And while Vice President-elect Joe Biden owns shotguns, he has supported a ban on assault weapons and has said private sellers at gun shows should be required to perform background checks. But Mark Tushnet, a Harvard Law School professor who has written a book about the gun debate, said new firearms regulations will be a low priority for an Obama administration and Democratic Congress facing a global economic crisis and two wars. "Maybe the gun-show loophole will be closed, but not much else," he said in an e-mail. "I'd be surprised, for example, if Congress enacted a new assault gun ban." Paul Helmke, president of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, said his organization will continue to press for what he calls "sensible" restrictions -- background checks at gun shows, a ban on military-style assault weapons and cracking down on illegal gun trade. He believes he has the backing of the new administration on those issues, but any fears of a broader crackdown are unfounded. "The one thing that they agree strongly with us on is that it's too easy for dangerous people to get guns in this country," Helmke said. "I guess if you're a dangerous person you might want to run out there and buy some more, but otherwise you should be OK."
  14. GOOD DEAL!! What was the time from submitting until you went pending? How long should I wait until I make my first call?
  15. Sounds like it would eat anything you load into it. That works for me!
  16. I am in a holding pattern awaiting my SBR stamp. In the meantime, I am looking into the rounds that will perform well with my project. I have a YHM 10.5" barrel, Spikes tactical lower and Tapco stock/buffer. My questions to the smart guys: - What rounds are you putting through your SBR's? - Do I want a heavier grain round? - Do the cheaper Wolf steel (polymer coated) cases present any problems? Feel free to throw in any other suggestions.
  17. So far, the sites I frequent have not shown a significant increase (yet). I talked to a guy at www.the-armory.com today. He said over a million rounds have been ordered this week alone.
  18. Nothing is lost as long as there are people willing to fight for it. Should the need arise, I am willing to fight to get our country back. I hate feeling down about the events of yesterday. My choice failed to get elected. Now we must prepare and wait. He has NOT been sworn in yet. Personally I am stocking up on items that may become very expensive in the coming year. Maybe people are holding back their riots and true feelings until Jan 20th. Then we might see a nationwide uprising/mutiny/revolt (or whatever you care to term it), like we saw in L.A. after the Rodney King verdict. I wonder if we will see Obama surrounded by Black Panther party members wielding nightsticks at the swearing in?!?
  19. AAAHHH YES, the ironic parrallels. Prepare for the worse, but hope for the best. Just my 2 cents.
  20. Shortly after the race was called last night, I ordered my lower (at the cheaper price). :D Now its time to stock up on ammo and reloading components.
  21. The BEST part about this.....I helped make it happen!!!!!!! Cya Naifeh
  22. Scary thought here about that birth certificate issue. If it's proven he is not a natural born citizen, does everyone step up? Biden to Prez, Pelosi to VEEP? OR, would there be a re-election? (asking this last one, knowing its unlikely)
