Yes, I'd say it IS uncommon with XD. You have the full sized service model? I can't make my XD SC 9 malf, actually trying to limpwrist, although I can with my Kahr. XD's are also known to be very forgiving as far as eating most all ammo, 'bout same as Glocks, although you may have found something yours doesn't like...what is the "cheap ammo" you mentioned? There ain't much cheaper than WWB. Obviously, if you can shoot 4 or 5 other brands/designs of ammo through it with 100% reliability, but the one type keeps having probs, then certainly you could narrow it down to the ammo. - OS

Agree. Lieberman won reelection in 2006 as an INDEPENDENT candidate, not as a Democrat. He lost the primary running as Democrat, but won the general election as a third party candidate. So, even though he happens to vote most often along with Democrat bent, he was certainly not exactly a "member in good standing" of that party even before this presidential election. I guess anything can be modified...there is even a technique on these DAO triggers to simply build up the face of the trigger so that the pull effectively starts "earlier". Also, you may find it effective to put ball of finger on trigger, rather than have trigger in first joint. Have you ever shot a Kahr PM9? They are pricier, but heck of gun, 4 x 5 x .8 inches, love mine; carry it in the pocket if for some reason I don't have my XD in IWB. Kahr CW series slightly larger but significantly cheaper. - OS

Please consider 9mm for your more effective self defense. 9mm Kahrs (if your budget allows) or Kel-Tec not much bigger. Maybe even Bursa 9mm, since you like Bersa, although I don't know anything about them, size/fit wise. - OS
