  1. The east TN chapter does that or is the the middle? Oh well. Set it up, if I can make it I will.
  2. I know no formal martial art, though I am interested in taking it up.
  3. The date is fine, the problem that I have is with the time. That is the time to get the kids fed and in relaxation mode for bed. After noon (12:30 to 2) are better times for me.
  4. Take the trade. You can get another Taurus in the future, but AK's could become banned again in the near future if certain individuals get elected and have their way.
  5. I will agree and disagree. If the fight at the bar was a few days earlier and things ended, then Kitts is justified (IMHO) because he was removed from the situation. Other dude brought the fight back and escalated it to near death. Kitts protected himself. Expel him from the club - Sure, charge him-no.
  6. When I started I was the dude you called when your Dell didn't work. Now I am doing SQL support. What a journey over the last 10 years. It definitely opened my eyes as to what I didn't want to do with my career. Anyway, I wouldn't trust one of the guys from Geek Squad to come to my house and touch anything. Hell, I don't let the DirectTV guy run cable at my house. Just hook up the dish, get it pointed and leave me a box of cable and some crimp on ends.
  7. Lincoln, I saw the same documentary and thought the same thing. I guess since they make those little "pocket hammers" to keep in the car in case of emergency it should be okay in TN.
  8. I wouldn't go with Vista if you paid me. For the next PC I am thinking about getting a MAC and just putting Windows on it. Who knows when that will be.
  9. Well, I wasn't sure, but I thought Florida had rules against carrying in amusement parks, but I was wrong. According to their website, only sports arena's are off limits as far as large gathering places. Since Disney isn't posted, carry on McDuff!!!
  10. I remember the good old days when it was cheaper and better to build your own PC than it was to purchase a Dell or other big name brand. Now you can get similar parts at a great discount buying the whole thing pre-fab.
  11. I think it is more like Detroit, but that is another story.
  12. Cadillac, You probably have a similar name to some one else. If you included your social it would probably come back quicker. I have only had one time where it was delayed and that was on the TBI end not me.
  13. This is why I have the non-emergency number programmed in to my cell phone. That and the fact that we called it one night when our neighbors alarm was going off and they were there in like 5 minutes as opposed to the 15 to 20 for 911.
  14. Welcome. The only White House area I know of won't allow me to carry my 1911 any where near it.
  15. Oh hell, here we go again!!!!
  16. Spoke to the wife last night and I am in for Sunday. Frank, don't leave with out saying goodbye.
  17. Some time in January might be doable. We have tried before and only Canyn and Myself were there. Set the date towards the end of January and I might can be there.
  18. You can carry it but they are going to make you zip strip it opened. I would recommend NOT leaving it in the car considering the location of the fair grounds. It is such a "lovely" neighborhood.
  19. I traded a 1911 for an XD. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but it too felt good in the hand and sighting was similar to the glock.
  20. Select * from USERS WHERE CLUE >0 I am an SQL G33k
  21. Computer Geek by trade and hobby.
  22. I was watching a program this weekend on gangs. One of the biggest, "The Hell's Angels" often carried Ball Peen Hammers on their persons. Why? Because there are no laws against carrying one even concealed. Now, TN may be different, but why not just drop one in the car. There is always a valid reason for having one. Should your car become stuck some where you can't get the door open, you need a way to break the glass in order to get out.
  23. Well, if the kids are agreeable and the wife is I might come by. I will have to check with her and see what she has going on. Since it is during nap time it might be okay. This would be on Sunday. Anyone want to try a meet and greet at a specific time on Sunday at the Franks booth?
  24. I was torn between a Walther P99QA and the G19. Ultimately, I picked up the G19 and sighted it in. My eye naturally went to the sites and lined them up. When I did the same with the Walther I did not have the same feeling. That is what sold the Glock to me.
  25. Why, I have carried in several liquor stores. Since it is concealed, the owners etc. don't even know that I have it. I have open carried once or twice and nothing has been said. Then again, I don't look like a thug so it isn't very likely I am there to rob the place.
