  1. Sven would be Swedish, Adolf on the other hand......
  2. So I should vote for Duncan Hunter or Fred (in that order) Kusinich - 1 Clinton 8
  3. Could I get a Ford Focus.
  4. Yup, guns are bad but unfettered access to the internet by a 14 year old is fine.
  5. Obviously laws were broken. A minor is not allowed to be in possession of knives!!
  6. Well, since the class is so easy and the cost is minimal, do you really want to deal with the hassle of a Lawyer, Court, loss of a firearm etc? Around here $250 gets you the class and the permit (along with the wait of course.) As for the penalty? Don't know, don't want to find out.

    My Job

Okay - Dice IS your friend. Sure you will get a bunch of stuff from Akmed in an area far away from you, but I had my resume posted there and received the call that put me where I am today. Many recruiters will not post jobs on dice but will scan the resumes looking for people that fit their qualifications.
  8. That is a WASR and is an okay price for it.
  9. What good will it do in her locker when her ex breaks in to her classroom? If she cannot have it on her to protect herself, is the school going to take COMPLETE responsibility if her husband comes in and starts swinging, shooting, etc? We don't know the entire story, but I would bet it was a very messy divorce. I would imagine there is a lot of animosity there and I would imagine that she "fears for her safety" every where she goes. Should she have more training than the limited amount in a carry class? Probably, but should she not be able to defend herself because she doesn't? Sorry, I think more people should be allowed to carry in more places to curb incidents like Columbine, Jonesboro, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin, Ohio, etc. As long as people are gathered, people should be allowed to protect themselves. P.S. - My children's teacher has a loaded handgun in the classroom, the lunch room, the play ground etc. Ah, you gotta love home school!!!!
  10. 3.5 years ago, mine took 45 days. Don't worry it will come, don't bother them, they put you to the bottom of the list that way.
  11. Canynracer, the possibility of her stray bullet killing some child is better in my opinion than the Columbine incident, the Virginia Tech incident or countless other incidents where some yahoo went on a spree and took out dozens of people. If one person had been armed, many more may have been saved.
  12. Isn't that a picture of Bill Gates from the 70's? Seriously though, carrying on campus is a bad thing, right?
  13. Personally, I think that proficiency with your weapon is a good thing. I get to the range as often as I can and I dry fire practice at home. That being said, I know a bunch of people that carry a bunch of different weapons in a bunch of different locations. While variety may be the spice of life, if the SHTF I don't want to have to think about where my gun is, which one is it, do I have to remove the safety or can I just, as windows suggested, point and click. Training, sure if I had the time and extra money. I don't right now (work, family, school doesn't leave much time for anything else.) If and when I do, sure. I meant to put in here that being able to hit 1" targets at 30 yards with a handgun is great. I am damn proud that you can do that, but lets be realistic as to what we should be striving for. When I practice I go 25 feet or less. I am pretty good at this not great but pretty good. I don't have a problem admitting that I could be better but if the **** hits the fan, I will be able to hit my target and neutralize the threat.
  14. Why do I think the school is going to start doing "random" searches of teachers and student vehicles.
  15. I still wish we could just "declare war" with Mexico so that the border states could start shooting anyone that attempted to cross as invaders.
  16. Won't run any better, but is less likely to accidentally blow your foot off. (p.s. I carry a Glock)
  17. No one is really saying that at all, Luke. We are just saying that training will certainly help to some degree if you apply what you learn. Conversely, there are people who have a ton of training, are trainers themselves that freeze under fire and do exactly what they shouldn't do. Poor decision making will get you killed. Remember NO ONE wins a fight between two or more people. The only fight with a winner is the fight that never happens.
  18. Wilkommen. Howdy.
  19. So agreed- If you have to pull your gun and can't clear a jam you are dead. Then again, if the bg already has a gun out and pointed at you, are you likely to be able to get your gun out and pointed at him and fire a round before he does? I doubt it, That is a lot of movement. You can hope that he misses and then you get a shot. Why do you think all of the old duels had guns drawn, cocked and ready before the first step was taken?
  20. Let's call him Steve, Yeah, I'm not afraid of Steve, Oh, Great, Steve, Whaddaya want? Welcome.
  21. Wait, Aren't we talking about
  22. I wonder what their official stance is now that they are the number 2 minority in this country? Colored People. That is a bit out dated isn't it?
  23. What if you like them both?
