  1. Some folks carry personal liability insurance.   Dave
  2. Old Clarksville Base and especially Kinser's Pond holds a decent amount of Rainbow and Brown Trout. We had a guy the other day that had a 19 inch Brown Trout. We figure that fish is going into his 3rd year in the stream. There are some good ones to be had...just have to work for them!   Dave
  3. Folks, if God willing and better health...I'll be out for sure!   Dave
  4. I have a 20 cubic foot upright Fridgedaire freezer that I use 24/7. I always have deer, boar and fish stocked in it. Not sure how much energy it uses monthly, but I know I couldn't feed my family without it. A good freezer is indespnsable!   Dave
  5. CVA Wolf is an awesome ML for under $150.00. I own one and it's deadly out to 100 yards (that's what I have the scope sighted in for). My Kentucky Flintlock rifle is "dead deer" on at 200 yards, and is not for sale. Find a decent gun, and work with powder/ball loads for best accuracy. It's all a combination of Gun, Powder, Bullet and shooter. Get the right combo and it's deadly! Oh, remember, there is NO REASON in the world to shoot Pyrocrap Pellets in your gun. Start with about 80 grains of 2F and "git er done"!   Dave
  6. I didn't watch it. Hitting them from a heli with a crossbow is in the "awesome" catagory!   Dave
  7. So sorry to hear this Mike....our prayer's go out to his family! May he find peace!   Dave
  8. Welcome from a fellow Clarksvillian!   Dave
  9. We do this same thing on Fort Campbell and Cross Creeks Wildlife refuge. Only difference is a buck shot is used and the pigs are left laying for the buzzards and coyotes. Last year, on a two day hunt, 72 pigs of all sizes were killed. No hunting involved. TWRA also shoots them on the WMA's and they are left to rot and/or thrown in pits for that purpose.   Dave
  10. Just when I was starting to accept being called white, things get complicated.....just "peachy"....   Dave
  11. It was negligence on my part. I falied to follow a basic safety practice of using an anti static mat while reloading 45 LC Black Powder Cartridges. I still do not have full motion and use of my fingers, however, they do seem to be improving over time. I no longer reload as it scared me ****less. I have gotten rid of almost all of my reloading gear with a few more things to list. For God's sakes guys...use every means of safety you can. I went so long without no problems of any kind whether loading smokeless or black powder cartridges. It only took a single "BOOM!" to get my attention. Sad indeed.   Dave
  12. My fingers and thumb after a reloading accident back last August. Dave
  13. I think the same cast of characters here are just participating in a discussion. No, we are not obligated to post about anything George Zimmerman or otherwise....but it is our right, plus...the boss lets us. Just my :2cents: !!!   Dave
  14. I have voiced my opinion about him many, many times. I worked with Trayvon's cousin on Fort Campbell and that's how I got this wrapped up in the case. It doesn't bother me he was found not guilty. What bothers me is he keeps putting his face and personal problems all over the place, and the celeberty status he's seeking! He's a lying POS and that's all there is to it. Not much else left for me to say. He shot a kid in self defense....so be it. Zman will give you an autograph and Keltec wants to make a pistol in his honor!   Well Georgie Boy...there's one news story about you you'll never get to see.....   Dave
  15. We heard the jury...the verdict was accepted (even by me). My point is/was the fact that almost everyone was all for Zman shooting the kid in self defense. Those same people are against him now, because the very people who supported his "cause" thinks he's an idiot for being in the news so much! Those supporters created this monster who keeps putting his face in the news! I'm all for what the jury decided, just the way it is. But he's enjoying his celeberty status from the whole time!   Dave
  16. Zman; 5' 8" 200 pounds the night of the shooting.... Trayvon; 5' 11" 158 pounds the night of the shooting...   Heck, I guess Trayvon did have the upper hand in this one...my bad. I consider myself in pretty good shape at 59, 6' and  200 pounds. I find it real hard to believe that someone 158 pounds could man handle a 200 pound trained boxer, throw him on the ground and beat him up the way Zman said Trayvon did. I guess I don't watch enough TV....   Dave
  17. We all know the verdict of the trial, what he should have and shouldn't have done. One of my biggest points was why Zman had to shoot a teen opposed to fighting him. Fast forward to recent months when Zman and DMX wanted to box. We find out that Zman is a trained boxer (according to him) and he couldn't fight a 17 year old? Come on folks....   He's nothing but a Drama Queen that wants to stay if front of the cameras. I seen during his trial that some of y'all thought he should become the "Poster Child" of hand gun carry and self defense, but now y'all want nothing to do with your new found leader for "stand your ground", to include reading about him in the news! It's funny (although I'm not laughing) how fast some of y'all flipped the coin the other way on old Georgie Boy!   DaveS
  18. Why in the world would a gun shop or gun show want him there? To attract business? I guess that failed.   Dave
  19. Autograph sessions...WOW a celebrity...jerk! Looks like the only thing that got a picture with Georgie boy was the dog in the picture with him!   Dave
  20. Sorry for the kids, but I bet that moron don't do that again!   Dave
  21. He'll get off because some damn lawyer who was hired to defend him will get it proved that he is nuts and he will get off. My question is, with his lengthy criminal history, WHY was he on the streets?   Dave
  22. This whole thing kills me because her brother seen some dude drag her off to the woodline. He did nothing to stop it and he was 16-17 at the time (gun, stick, ballbat ect) but call 911. I think he is just as guilty and may be involved in some way. I promise you this..as a teen ager if I seen someone drag my sister to the woods, I would have done everything I could (terminal hematoma here) to intervene or stop it. 911 would be called after the fact. But to stand around like a little pus**, and let that happen to his sister speaks volumes for his manhood! A similar thing happened to my Daughter in Laws little cousin. Jackie Beard was picking blackberries in her yard when a jerk, who's name I refuse to say, abducted her, raped her and killed her. That piece of s*** is in prison smiling with his bunk mate and could care less about it. These crimes are not punished harsh enough nor fast enough...it's sickening.   Rant off...   Good night Brother TGO'rs   Dave
