  1. Man that was some show. "Throw all the Political turds in the toilet and flush them", priceless.
  2. That is were I am at. Don't want to have to clean pistol every time I run. I do put it in my biking jersey pocket.
  3. I have been thinking about this topic for a while. I run 3 to 5 miles a day out in the Shelby Forest area. When I bike I keep a P32 in my tail bag. But I can't think of a suitable means to carry while running. I guess a fanny pack would be best, considering the amount of sweat the gun would be exposed to IWB.
  4. They tend to multiply.
  5. I have shot 3 deer with my ar. All with 60gn Nosler partitions. All were clean kills. I also was very picky about shots. All within 75 yards and I knew I could hit what I was aiming at. Would I use it again, yes. Is it my prefered deer rifle, no. I prefer one of my Leverguns, 35 Rem, 44mag, 45colt, 357 mag, 45-70. You get the picture.
  6. How old is you daughter? Maybe a nice Marlin 1894c in 357. I have one and it is a sweet shooter. Very low recoil.
  7. you want scary.
  8. In Sault Ste. Marie we had a hole cut in the base fence so we could take a short cut to the VFW. Loved to go there for lunch. I wasn't old enough to drink but the "members" would by us pitchers. Fun times. You don't have to be in different services to fight. Hell we used to fight other ships and each other. Instant a$$h$#e just add alcohol.
  9. I agree. He got lucky.
  10. My wife had a Navy meeting at the local VFW Post 7175 in Millington yesterday. She said that they were correctly posted "no firearms". I found this sort of bizarre.
  11. "Intellectually draws his revolver and puts a round in the water", hmm. Sure would have scared the out of me.
  12. Welcome. My wife is stationed a Millington. I was at Miramar during the "transition". Later went to PT Loma. Retired in 2k. I moved to Memphis last year and have had a hell of a time finding a job that didn't involve ditch digging.
  13. I bought a Henry H001T and couldn't be happier. The action is very slick and accuarcy is above par. The Henry is about half the cost of the Marlin. That said I would still like to have a Marlin. You can't have too many lever guns.
  14. I have a PT145 and it is a reliable accurate pistol.

I was up there a month ago. One of the salesman commented that they were having a hard time getting inventory. He didn't sound like things were going well, but I had no idea it was that bad. Darn shame.
  16. A Forest Gump moment for sure. I really hope their relatives etc do cry to the media and the State Dept for help.
  17. So much more than just a pretty face.
  18. I had a Mak90 a long time ago. It went bang everytime I pulled the trigger, but it surely wasn't very accurate. More a spray and pray weapon. But then I guess that is what it was designed for.
  19. +1 then any 1911.
  20. This is the part that makes me thing real hard before pulling the trigger. It is a mess no way around it. Go slow and you should be fine. I got spoiled in SC. The place I hunted was 10 min from my processor. Bang, throw it in the truck and off to the processor. I'm really going to miss that guy. Best processor I have ever seen. Cordray's Venison Processing, Taxidermy, and Cordray Farms All Natural Local Beef
  21. Here is a copy of the email correspondence from McAlisters Deli. It looks like I will continue to be a customer. McAlister's Deli "Talk To Us" web comment: Negative Comments: My wife and I are long time customers, both here in TN and in SC. We usually eat at the Millington location at least twice a week. Today there was a sign posted stating, "no firearms or weapons." I am wondering if this is Corparate policy or the individual resturaunt? Also what do you define as a weapon? I often carry a pocket knife, would this bar me from this establishment? My wife and I are both legal permit holders and as such will not be returning to this or any other McAlisters while they are posted. Also the current posting is not in compliance with TN law. Thank You, George Brewton Good Afternoon, George First, I would like to thank you for taking the time to write us...it caused management to look further into the matter. At the time of your email, there had been no corporate decision to post the notices and found this to be an isolated incident at several of our stores and the notices have since been removed. JME, Inc - West TN McAlister's franchisee - has never served alcohol and the recent change in the TN concealed carry law did not apply to us. Therefore, management sees no reason to change its 15 year policy of welcoming and serving all law abiding customers. Again, thank you and we look forward to serving you again very soon! David Foley Human Resources Director JME, Inc Mr. Foley, I am very pleased to hear this, and I will post it on the TN Gun Owners website. George Brewton.
  22. I have the same problem. It is a Great carry gun and I refuse to let it be a safe queen. But I must confess that I don't switch out to a MilPro 45 every once and a while.
  23. Welcome!, I live in Millington near the Shelby Forest.
  24. I went to one of my favorite eateries today, McAlsters Deli in Millington. It now has a 8.5x11 printed sign at knee level that says, "no firearms or weapons." I am emailing there corp office.
