  1. Good choice! I have the Smith SD9 (wanted just a cheap target 9mm) and I put the Apex Tactical trigger kit on...was well worth the $20.
  2. I have a good amount now, but when the panic first started I was low. Thankfully I was able to get the reloading components I needed and got some .22lr a few times at Academy or Bass Pro so now I am set. Yes, I wish I had more, but I have enough to allow me to shoot as much as normal and enough components to keep reloading and keep my current level.   As a poster above said, stocking is with the intent to use it, hoarding is more having it just for the hell of it even if not needed. Most shooters I know fall in the stocking category as they intend to shoot what they have.
  3. Work has me traveling the next 3 or 4 weekends now so I'm going to have to wait. I am definitely interested in learning and trying to tag along at some point.
  4. I know for the Hornady those are normal pre-scare prices. I prefer the critical duty rounds though, but both have the polymer tip.
  5. I had the GSG522, was good for about 500 rounds and then nothing but issues, FTFeed/Fire and FTE. I would clean it, be able to shoot half a magazine, then the issues would start back. Happened with all brands of ammo, and with factory and aftermarket mags. I got tired of it, traded for a Ruger 10/22 and some cash. I have heard really great things about some of the other replicas though.
  6. I haven't bought any ammo in 5 or 6 months. I have had to buy powder and primers to reload, but didn't pay ridiculous prices. I am set on .22 for a while.
  7. Never tried it, but I heard it is a lot of fun. I would be interested in tagging along depending on when and where.
  8. Unless they kill bin Laden, then it is declassified overnight....
  9. 2 years maybe? Good show, looking forward to watching it again.
  10. My insurance through work (Aetna) isn't even accepted at Walgreen's anymore so I don't go there. In December for whatever reason (was too lazy to dig into it at the time) we were told as of the beginning of the year Walgreen's was refusing to accept Aetna insurance. That aside, all their prices are always higher (say $2 higher for a 12 pack compared to Kroger or Walmart) so I have never been too fond of stopping there.
  11. I actually watched the movie last night, it was pretty good. I own the entire book set but haven't had the time to read them yet. Usually I would read the books first but 17 books takes a while.
  12. Everyone who participates needs to be background checked! /s I think I will be watching the news closely that day to see what happens. I support the idea, just not the proposed fashion (armed, loaded carry).
  13. I watched the entire thing, it did go downhill. As stated I'm sure they were bussed in for this publicity stunt, but maybe not because people really are this stupid. Comments like only want criminals to be armed, we want to ban ar-15s but not take your guns, 10 rounds is too many to defend yourself..... Do people really not remember how to think before they speak and realize how ignorant they sound? Because really everyone is safer if only criminals have guns "because they don't want to kill you, just take your stuff..."
  14. Very mixed feelings on this. It would be far to easy for this protest to turn into a bloodbath, which would almost certainly be the tipping point for some of the House/Senate members who currently vote with us. I do believe the better option would be to march with a hi-cap magazine, folding stock, etc but not an actual firearm.
  15. Lmao! The terrorists at the NRA.... I know many people who do not always agree with the stance and announcements made by the NRA, but it is an organization whose goals for the most part are the collective goals of the group. It is not a terrorist group controlled by a handful of people at the top. "You can't fix stupid", if we could then the 2nd Amendment and other restrictions to our freedoms would not even be a discussion.
  16. Wow, very well written article. I will be sending that on to several people I know
  17. Someone else posted a link the other day to that article and I took the time to read through it. there are some great points made. It is a long read but was well worth the time.
  18. Watched the entire season with my fiancé. Great show for the most part, I understand its a TV show and they have to attract viewers but were some really dumb decisions made by characters.
  19. I am primarily using Titegroup, it meters well just aggravating to try and adjust between the two charges. The micrometer adjustment is about $41 plus shipping and the Little Dandy is $36 plus $12 for each rotor (so am looking at $80 or so). Decisions.... I will order one or the other when payday hits next.
  20. Hmm, I have heard about the micrometer charfe adjustments but haven't really looked into it. Will check into it now. Thanks!
  21. Thanks for the replies. I have the RCBS turret as well so may consider buying the bench mount. I have been watching eBay and other sites, the rotors aren't exactly cheap but I only need a couple of them. I think it will be worth the investment to help save me time and the hassle of trying to dial in the Uniflow.
  22. Lifetime membership can be had for something like $300 right now... I saw a post about it the other day.
  23. Does anyone here have the Little Dandy powder measure, if so what are your thoughts on how it functions in regards to ease of changing rotors and accuracy of the thrown charges? I have the Uniflow measure and it does the job, but is a hassle to change between my 9mm and 40cal loads (0.8 grain difference can take several minutes to correctly dial in). I am considering the Little Dandy measure and the needed rotors for my 2 pistol loads, and using the Uniflow measure strictly for loading .223. I hand measure my 30-06 loads with a measuring spoon stolen from the kitchen as I want consistent accuracy for hunting. I appreciate any thoughts on this measure or any similar models/options to easily dial in small charges. Price is a concern, otherwise I would purchase an electronic powder measure.
  24. I hope so.... I rarely get on Facebook so didn't know they were working together.
  25. I have the book, really appreicate what Kyle and the other service men/women have done for us. The way he passed (murdered) was deeply upsetting. Unfortunately I have very little faith in Hollywood being able to respectfully honor his service and life, but I hope they can prove me wrong and honor this hero.
