Yes. Especially on the Glock.

The problem in the argument is that Liberals use government for violence and right wingers use independent "attacks" for protest. The scope of liberal violence is beyond compare with the incidents he listed. Just Che's violence/murders is enough to quell his senseless argument.

Man I wish i had applied sooner! Great opportunity. Joe do you know if they are looking fo something specific (as in time or skills) or general armed guard/LE credentials?

Rude Pro 2nd Amendment Couple Upset Store Clerk.

It doesn't matter. It's like beating up the Wal-Mart cashier to teach the corporation a lesson. It does no good and only punishes someone who doesn't deserve it. Power trip for the X's and they leave feeling like they fought the man, when all they did was pick on a little girl. -
Spinoff thread of sorts: let's see some great guitarists in action.

Some people just enjoy the drama. It' like they create the scenario and then whine about their justification. Mr and Mrs. X sound like the infamous *wikrnu! He strikes again! -
I'd also recommend from a few years ago, Collective Soul. Jeremy Camp is also a good one. some of his stuff gets air time right now.

I think you are describing U2. Anything from Joshua Tree on fits the bill. If you like James Taylor try Phil Keaggy. It's doesn't "sneak" up on you but he is regarded as on of the finest guitar and writing artist across the board. In fact Eddie Van Halen was noted as citing him as the best guitarist he knew of in the 80's

You sure have been grouchy lately! Maybe we'll get another rainstorm so you can sit on the porch and relax.

Maybe the campaign banners should read Palin/McCain! I think it is great that people are more excited about the VP than the Pres candidate. I also absolutely love that McCain finally showed he has some campaign smarts and stomped all over the toes of the Dem machine with the timing of the announcement and the choice. Totally squashed the messianic love fest in Denver. BTW I expected all the love in Denver, but are these people for real? Also I really think Obama is making a huge mistake attacking her "experience". He does realize not only does she have more than him, she also governs a state that deals heavily in military matters (domestic and foreign) with Russia, N. Korea, China, and Canada on a regular basis?
-
Oh, we can only hope. If he goes for her McCain is a genius. If he goes with Lieberman he is an absolute moron.

Actually, the thought (of any sin) is the sin. The activity that results simply brings the physical consequences into play. The scripture is very on this one. "Thinking" gay is a sin just as much as lusting is adultery and hatred is murder.

An example of where homosexuality has been good for a society then. I think you will find this difficult, because History is littered with examples to the contrary. The assumption that those with religious beliefs do not have logical discourse in their ideology is absurd to say the least. In fact most religious dialog has had a constant and ongoing logical discourse that has span time immortal. the fact that it is ongoing and renewed with changing cultural climates is a testament to the fact that it has not stopped in it's attempt to test truth, but rather verified the constant drive to validate truth. We all base our beliefs on something. The question is, is that basis right or wrong.
-
It makes no difference if people agree or not. Right is right and wrong is wrong, but that depends on what your foundational basis is for right and wrong. If it is the Bible is the basis, they are all the same. If it is something else then you get to decide what ever you want fits in which category. However, I find it curious when people "judge" people who "judge" on this basis and then say not to judge because they don't use their same basis.

murder, stealing, drug abuse, etc. makes me uncomfortable as well. I'm just too judgemental. Is it judging, if God already passed the judgment?

As a pastor i can tell you that it is a totality argument. Meaning you have to take the balance of the Old and New Testament into account. Someone who leans heavily in either direction will tend to get out of context Gods nature. Old Testament law is completed in New Testament grace, but you can't separate the two. God had to show the severity of law in the OT, so that the grace of Christ would be manifested in full in the NT. It is a contrasting picture we needed to see. That being said, defending ones self/family is as scriptural as forgiveness. The difficulty is that there is not a single verse that deals with the particular issue at hand and most people are too lazy to search out the principle in he entirety of the scripture. mousegunner, who is also a pastor, has put together this info on his site. Great place to get it all together.

Yeah and they will cost you more than the sight. Larue has a PoBoy special that includes the mount and a Hensoldt 3x magnifier for $199. rest of them run in the $650+ range!
-
the SPOT red dots get great reviews. I think they run $150.

Makarov.com used to have .380 barrels. The 9x18 is a step above .380 and a step below 9 mm. Hornady makes a good SD load.

That was some of the humor, she was telling me about a Wasr (II?) but kept calling it a 'Wazer" even after I said it correctly.

Today at work I had a discussion (more of her talking and my listening) about firearms. This particular lady is one who likes to show off what she (doesn't) know and you can't contradict her at all. don't mind the half gone, black grill, or anything mind you. (she's from Alabama) She begins by telling me she was having a hard time finding a good dealer in Nashville that would register her guns. Since she just moved from Alabama. I gently said, "There is no gun registration." She argued that there was, especially since her husband had an "Wazer" AK that was barley legal. She went on to elaborate how it was an auto that was just one part shy of being illegal. What ever that meant. He also got a great deal off GunBroker on the "Wazer". He only paid $200 (which sounds pretty good) only to find out that Wazer's are at least $700 AK's! I just smiled and responded to her question, of where to shoot her $700 "Wazer", at Hobson Pike. Some People. BTW it was entirely gratifying to know that there is at least one person I am more gun knowledgeable than!
