  1. Customer service. I had several and all were great guns. In some ways they were better than the Steyr, but due to the lack of interchangeability of a few parts and the horrible customer service, they tended to get a bad rep. Now that Steyr is importing them again, there's no reason to not get the better Steyr.
  2. New in box Magpul Hunter-X for a Ruger 10/22. FDE. Got this for a project but went in a different direction. Works with standard or .920 bull barrels. New in box Nashville area $100. Stock photo:
  3. I'd go with a .357 (.38spl) or .22, those, with what you have, are kind of the meat and potatoes of levers.
  4. This has been one of my dream guns for the longest time. Closest I ever got were the series of MSAR STG E4's I had over the years. The MSAR's were great, but I had always wanted a Steyr. Since Steyr started importing them again a while back and prices have dropped some, I was able to pick one up. Who needs an SBR or braces when you can have a bullpup! I did get a little sacrilegious and went with the NATO stock, but that is because I had an abundance of AR mags. Since I was already familiar with the platform I knew what I wanted to add so ... it got the 20/20 Sear, Corvus QD takedown pin, Ratworx TR-1A fore rail, Ratworx Hybrid bolt, and a Corvus brass deflector. I added a Magpul/ADM QD bipod, foregrip, and Strike Cloak FH with a Strike Oppressor (for indoor ranges). Haven't been able to make it to the range yet and I am still experimenting with optics. I'll either use a Holosun 510C with a flip to the side 5x magnifier or a PA SLx 1-6x24 ACSS. The pics below have a Burris AR223, that I was using as a placeholder. The Bi-pod is for the range. I also have a Wilderness Tactical Giles sling that works great with this gun. Now all I need is that full size Uzi B and my 80's movie dream gun collection will be made! With the SI Oppressor: without the SI Oppressor:
  5. Like new Shadow Systems CR920 combat (upgraded barrel). I believe it only has about 100 rnds through it. Has 3 -13 rnd mags and one 10 rnd floor plate. Case, Tenicore IWB holster and Bravo OWB holster. No trades, Nashville area $600. This is really hard. Got this in a trade and wanted to see how it stacked up to my P365 Xmacro. If I'd have gotten it first, I'd have stayed with it. Just have too much in the p365. Apples to apples I prefer the CR920 to the P365. My excess your gain.

    TICS Denial

I got denied once because a guy in Oregon had my last name and a social that was 2 digits different than mine and had been arrested for a felony. It got overturned on appeal. Since my last name is Smith, I put my social on every 4473. I can tell you that a lot of denials I saw working in a gun store were because of clerical issues. Cases where local charges or complaints had been filed with the feds, but when the local charges/complaints were dropped or cleared, the state didn't file the disposition to the feds. The feds will still show a pending charge/complaint and thus the denial. The state has to file charges with the feds but are not required to file a disposition if cleared.
  7. This is true. As mentioned before, I can't recall every seeing that being enforced but .... I would hate for that to be an option in a routine traffic stop turned into a felony 10 yr charge.
  8. .270 It can take big to small game on all continents at just about any range. It is just about the the best all round caliber.
  9. I fully understand how it works, it's just the principle of the matter and the fact that I could be criminally prosecuted for federal crimes over those issues.
  10. Yeah, I'm not carrying papers or requesting permission to travel across state lines.
  11. My biggest thing is that by going from a pistol to an SBR, I am now crippled on transporting, crossing state lines, vehicle carry, and carry ability with my current HCP. I prefer to keep them in pistol status and wait this thing out. I got used to the Uzi push/pull sling method before the brace and if necessary will go back to that method.
  12. Anyone see this story? Cool hunt and massive Colorado Mountain Lion. Wolfe is 6'5 btw. https://www.google.com/amp/s/kdvr.com/news/local/derek-wolfe-kills-huge-mountain-lion-in-colorado/amp/
  13. Sort of. Those engineers are having to work within legal system constructs and not just pure mechanics. They are also designing on a mass production model, so the tolerances are accounted for to ensure the widest range of base functionality. The whole 1911 thing is a good example. Military grade 1911's were the AK's of the handgun world. Incredibly loose and not terribly accurate without work. Customization is what makes them great guns. So much so, that nearly all 1911's made currently are customized 1911's based on one off's of the past. That being said, I prefer minimal customizing when I buy second hand and I tend to customize parts that can be taken back to stock fairly easily or with known proven parts. I tend to stay away from custom colors, frame modifications, stippling, relief cuts etc.
  14. Anyone, have 12g lever? Seems like a really cool idea.
  15. The EDC will get many good responses. As for a fixed battle blade, contact Grand Torino here on the forum. He'll make you a custom to your specifications for a very fair price. I've bought several of his builds and had a commissioned camp knife that is phenomenal.
  16. Yes. They are usual in a rubber or thick plastidip type case.
  17. That's beautiful. Between the gun and holster, there's just a lot of perfect.
